Could use some guidance from someone who’s done the Sti swaps into wrx’s or knows a thing or two about Subaru transmissions.

I have an sti 6 speed in my 02 wagon with a baaad center diff. Rather than breaking my neck looking for someone parting out a trans, I’m in the market with a few options.

First one being the most expensive: new trans with the full swap package. Currently I’m running the stock axles and hubs with the AT drive shaft. Other than amazing breaks and an R180, what is there to gain from this swap? The r160 I have is a LSD and, from what I’ve been told, is almost just as good.

Other options are possibly running a 5 speed (on jdm 2.0L sti motor) for the longer gear ratio. Or, easy street, just new trans on same set up.
