I’ve had Pirelli Sottozero 3 (225/50/17) mounted on 17x7.5 Enkei YS5 wheels on my 2017 STI since December of 2016 and I love them. I live on the north shore of Long Island and these tires have yet to fail me. It gets me through slush, ice, and heavy snow. I definitely recommend them.

These are not winter tires.
If you have mild winters and not much hills they should be ok.

I just bought a 2015 wrx. The tpms sensor is on but the tire pressure seems fine. I think it has sti wheels on it (gold). Could that be why the sensor is on?

Possibilities:

1) Your gold rims do NOT have TPMS sensors.
2) Your gold rims have TPMS sensors but the code isn't uploaded. You need a scan tool & Quickset - just go to Subaru and have them do it for you.
3) Your TPMS sensors are not compatible with Subaru.
3) Your TPMS sensors are broken.

Time to go to the dealership.

I got my winter BfGoodrich Winter tires from 4wheelonline. I am satisfied because they gave me a discount which is a great help to me.

CR rated Vredestein Wintrac Pro as best performance winter tire in US market.
Tires are rather disappearing from this segment, unluckily.

I am planning to replace my Viking Contact 7 with them on my Miata, when time comes and nothing better is available (OE size 205/45R17, Wintrac Pro will be 215/45R17 - at least for now).

Yep. 6 years ago, Dunlop had the Wintersport 3D and 4D just came out, neither one is available any more. I think that Bridgestone had a Blizzak in Performance Winter as well.
