power gained:TXS stealth back(catted) vs TXS TBE(catted) vs TXS stealthback (non cat)
Hey guys,
I have the above TBE with a hi-flow cat. Believe it or not I would like to go back to the stock STi axleback for the stealth effect. So my question is the following how much restictive is the STi axleback? Would a catless stealthback produce gains as the catted TBE? By the way I also have XXtuning headers. Rest is stock. How would the above result changed if I went to a new bigger turbo/injectors and bigger TMIC? How much of a bottleneck the STi axleback is becoming as you upgrade more and more? Any input would be appreciated. cheers and thanks for input. Nick

if you need to keep the cops out of your hair,
then it may be a very wise choice. just for the record though, stock axleback rusts like a mother****er. i was stunned when i took mine off. |

I agree 5-10hp with stealthback plus cat. But do I gain that back with stealthback no cat?
I am guessing this is why the 05 axleback is like painted/coated black. To avoid rust. I may just have to foot the bill to make some dyno/tuning runs. Keep comments/input coming.. Thanks Nick |

You are running a catless stealthback? How is the noise level? How is the the smell? I had the catted stealthback on my WRX and noise was pretty much the same as the stock exchaust. Thanks for input. Nick |
