Default Can you identify these missing clips?

G3 Hatch, 2012 vintage. I had my rear bumper repaired last year and have had a rattle ever since that I think is coming from the part pictured.

There are two clips missing from each side. Can anyone direct me to a picture of them, or better yet a part number?

It looks like it's more than just the usual scrivet clips used almost everywhere else on the car. Is there something that should be there to receive the scrivet clip?

Thanks in advance.

I don’t think there is anything there normally. I checked mine but I have rally armor mud flaps that utilizes those two holes. I looked up a bunch of install videos and pics and they all show those to be empty. Maybe those were put there for OEM splash guards?

Thanks for the reply - the same thing occurred to me today - maybe there is nothing there?! It's just a hole in case mudflaps are installed.

I'll need to find another MY12 hatch in my neighbourhood and have a close look. You're right, the bumper diagram exploded view shows nothing there.

All good in that case.
