Default Perrin Trunk Handle

Not sure how Subaru engineers missed this small but highly functional feature, but it has been around for decades with other manufactures. Anyway, I installed this part yesterday afternoon. I did my research and was a little intimidated at first, about the need to drill/enlarge the existing hole. The two YouTube video source from Subispeed, where I purchased the part from, and YouTuber/Subaru owner, Lasthumansgarage, both warned about the potential danger of damaging the trunk. See below:

What they did not mention is that the risk can be greatly minimized by the use of an inexpensive hardware called drill stop. It is also recommended by Perrin in the instruction I got but for whatever reason, neither one of the two videos made mentions of it. Perhaps it was a later add-on to the instruction but anyway, use it if you are planning on adding this part to your car. Also, it is worth noting that you should definitely make sure that you are using the correct drill bit, not just in the size but just as important, that it is made for use on metal.
