Default WRX STI 30 Diamond Edition

Hello,

also in South Africa there is a cool special edition. It needs exactly 5.03 seconds to reach 100 km/h . 260 kW/354 PS are also a good power. You can see more photos at www.Subaru-Impreza.com

Greetings,
Frank

I like the look of the yellow body kit, BUT, i think i would get bored of it pretty quick. i'll take the 354hp any day of the week however!

Uber milkage.

I think the US’ EJ25 is maxed out, isn’t it? Type RA squeezed out everything left.. in more ways than one.

Time for an FA24DIT + 6MT in the US already.

Yellow lip kit is disgusting.

Otherwise, cool; but not coming here.

IMO, with the EJ207/X/Y (whatever the engine code may be for the JDM EJ20 turbo), they've been improving power slowly but steadily:
- 2011 JDM-only S206, EJ20 turbo, 316 hp
- 2015 JDM-only S207, EJ20 turbo, 323 hp
- 2017 JDM-only S208, EJ20 turbo, 324 hp
- 2018 SADM-only Diamond Edition 30, EJ20 turbo (my guess), 349 hp

IMO, it's EJ257 that has an issue with making reliable power AND staying in compliance with EPA/CARB.

with nothing done to the interior so it look like every other model from the inside. why not thrown in some s207/8 seats with yellow accents and seatbelts

Yeah I figured messing with emission is like touching the third rail. I thought the jdm STI switched over to the FA motor

We've all been waiting for the FA STI motor. You'd definitely know when it switched over, even if JDM-only.

Direct injection isn't something you just cobble onto an engine for a special edition upgrade. It would render it an entirely new engine really. Probably a mistake. Or maybe they're field testing the new STI engine in this. I mean 345hp/342lb-ft is pretty much right where everyone wants to be.

The torque curve looks pretty old-school though.
