Default Out of Timeout and ready to show off build

Ok so my car has been at HB Speed in SoCal for quite a while now. I originally took it there because my seals were blown and my oil cooler had a tiny hole in it and was mixing oil with coolant. I thought I had bad head gaskets but they were fine. ANYWAY, spending lots of time on the forums and asking questions here and finding answers there, I decided that since my motor was going to be taken apart, I might as well beef her up in the process. Let me give you some info on the car

started out like this in 02
stock 2.0 ej20, blah blah blah, STOCK

then in 06
ej25, vf39, PE 650cc inj, sti top mount, aps inlet, bellmouth dp, k&n typhoon intake, jdm sti v3 transmission, tgv deletes, open source tuned... unsure on whp/wtq specs (sorry)

then early 08
swapped vf39 for a t3/t4 stage 3 rotated setup w/ 38mm ewg, typhoon intake, ebay fmic (that was fun... till it blew)

and NOW!!! (final setup until gt35r)
ej25, forged rods, forged pistons, 760cc injectors, aem meth kit, jdm sti intake manifold, Blouch dom 3.0r, gruppe-s uel headers, matching up pipe w/ ewg flange for 38mm ewg, bellmouth dp into straight pipe, (muffler coming soon) good amount of headwork done, jdm RA v4 transmission w/ 4.44 differential, aps hard inlet, iridium "colder" spark plugs, tgv deletes, walbro fuel pump k&n typhoon intake (c.a.r.b. legal)

looking at somewhere around 430-450 on a street tune on pump gas.

When is the tune? and why no cams yet? I'm not a big fan of pulling motor more than once so I try and do everything you can when you have it out the first time(cams, headwork, etc.)

Nice! With the exception of turbo selection, your car is almost EXACTLY the same as mine mod for mod, down to the tranny

Sounds like a nice build, though I can only see x's. Probably work filtering what they deem aproperiate for me to look at.

speed limit on the freeway here is 65mph...
traffic normally cruises at 75-80mph...
having the gearing I do helps me with acceleration but when it comes to cruising on the freeway, I am in 5th gear @ 80mph @ ~4k rpm so the car is screaming. I will eventually switch out the current 5th gear (.825) for a regular wrx 5th (.738...I think). the downside to not doing it now is not having funds available. its ~1200 for a tranny job... thats 1200 more than I can spend... lol

for the record though, I would rather have my transmission than a sti 6 speed

I am actually considering getting an rs hood so it looks completely n/a and somewhat "presentable" BUT on the other hand, having the hood scoop not only cools the engine compartment, but also looks pretty aggressive imo

I dont really like the gearing on the 6 speeds. I can almost skip a gear if I wanted to. It seems as if I am constantly shifting gears, too. (you know what I mean) I mean, dont get me wrong, its a great transmission but the one I have suits me perfectly... well almost (5th)

I basically have similar to 6 speed ratios but i am missing my "freeway gear" lol

my ratios (1-5)...3.083 2.062 1.545 1.151 0.825 final- 4.444

usdm sti ratios (1-6)... 3.636 2.375 1.761 1.346 0.971 0.756 final- 3.545

usdm wrx MY02 ratios (1-5)...3.454 1.947 1.366 0.972 0.738 final- 3.900
