So my dealership told me that I would need to wait two months to know when the car I ordered would be in, does anyone know how long it takes a VON to populate after a car is ordered?

My dealer told me to give him my signature and initials so I could buy a car they had for sale. I did it and was very happy with the purchase. ***128512;

My dealership told me there's only one tech certified to do the Takata airbag recall repair, so it would take 5-7 days to do. It actually took 13 days.

To be fair I've only had good encounters with dealerships so far, can't believe how shady they can be

VON-is generated at the time of order.

Overheard a service writer: Subaru is bringing over a super limited STI with 450hp.

The Dealership at Subaru told me... there's a '20 WRX hatch back on it's way...

Is that right? Second time I heard that...

Once in Plano Subaru, then Garcia Subaru in El Paso.
Anyone else?

I think a hatchback for 2020 WRX on the new platform is a lock.

Default My dealership told me my car was safe.

I purchased a used car from a dealership. The car was one year old. When I went to sell it years later, I discovered it had been written off prior to my purchasing it. The dealer claims to have not known about the accident, but it is on the Car Fax report. I am trying to determine the price paid at the Manheim Auction. Is there anyone who can assist me with this? I have the VIN number and date of purchase from the auction. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Running the vin in MMR won’t tell you what you are looking for. It just narrows down the year make and model to show similar units that have run across the country and help you figure an average. It also gives color and a condition grade. No dealer in his right mind would buy from their auctions if any Tom, Dick, or Harry could trace the sale back via the vin. Mannheim can, but they don’t share that information for those very reasons. Used cars = caveat emptor. Sorry this happened to you.

My dealership told me that it will take 3-4 months to get the parts in for a 4-yr-old recall airbag repair.

A Service Rep told my Uncle that his 2017 6MT Forester was actually a "solenoid actuated" CVT designed to mimic a 6 speed manual. It was a little bit of a conversation but I got him to understand the Service Rep was either messing with him or really didn't know what he was talking about.

There may be some truth to that- Subaru reissues that same recall each year, but each time with a new set of affected cars. We had a customer waiting list for the Legacy/ Outback airbags a few months ago. Inventory finally caught up to demand after about a month.

3-4 months is out of line. Sounds like your dealer is severely understaffed?

Did that rep have an explanation for that 3rd pedal?

My dealer told me it was a guarantee that all new Subarus next year would have 5% APR minimum, so I had to buy now. Also that they'll never have 0% financing on their cars ever again. They also didn't know anything about the DriverFocus system on the new Forester and told me it didn't exist and that the Touring trim didn't exist anymore. Oh and that Heuberger Subaru is some mythical dealer that doesn't exist because they sound too good to be true.

Go back and tell them their dealer code is 090180. I would definitely not patron that dealer......unless it was just one uninformed salesperson.

Your dealership told you to find another dealership. (Or at least another sales rep.)

When I was buying my local dealership put up an internet price for a very good but believable price on a new sti at the time. After confirming over the phone, we drove to see in person. I had my doubts and they were confirmed when the manager told me the internet price was a mistake and they would do me a favor by charging me only 2k ADM instead of the 5k they usually charge. I went with Heuberger and got mine under MSRP.

Had a rear blinker bulb changed, they broke a clip on the light housing, of course they never told me. Had power steering rack replaced, was missing a bolt on my subframe and holes striped out of the splash shield mount point. Had timing belt done, they never replaced the water pump, crank sprocket, used old a/c and serp. belts. Had one a detail service done through them and there were bleach stains all down the inside of my door panels ugh .. What else can these guys possibly do wrong.... Stay away, I'd suggest a non dealer Subaru specialist imo, good luck. And remember it's all an act as soon as you look away these sales reps are screaming "sucker" behind your back.".

Google review.

That's nice, sweetie, but has nothing to do with this thread.

There is a subforum for dealership reviews.
