Yes, the canoe gives good downforce and funnels the air nicely to the wing underneath. It acts much the same way the rear window spoiler does on the 06's. Also, it helps balance the car fore/aft weight distribution, which seems to help in rally style driving applications.

I think it would raise your center of gravity, increasing body roll significantly. Instead of fibreglass, perhaps consider a carbon fiber / Kevlar version.

That first pic makes your WRX look like a Hotwheel next to that thing. I can't imagine what the rotors must sound like when it flies.

The company I work for is operating it, with all Russian crew, for mainly Nabors drilling as they have built and are building heliportable drilling rigs. It can sling 44,000lbs per load. It is over here on a one year exemtion from transport canada and hopefully after that full certification so it can stay.

Well, I picked up my '07 Special Edition yesterday afternoon and I'm in love! Here's some pics...

Horrible lighting, amateur photographer, and dirty car...you think you're ready?

Already have a STI spoiler on the way from www.subarugenuineparts.com because I find the trunk looks too plain. Any more mod suggestions?
