Roof rack on? Or off?
Ok, I'm still stuck between whether or not I should put my roof rack back on my car. As of now, I can't because the bolts are sort of stuck in there. But I think it'd be worth it to get them unstuck if the roof rack looks good on my car.

Definitely on
I would say to put it back on. A Legacy is a utilitarian vehicle - taking off the roof rack is sort of like, well, emasculating the car. No seriously, put it back on if it's not too much trouble.

The roof rack adds drag.
You loose a great deal of top-end performance with it installed. Also putting up a roof rack, encourges folks to put stuff up there. If you seriously need to carry stuff, either rent a U-haul, borrow a buddys pick up, or purchase a light duty trailer hitch receiver. |

Looks like a Brighton without the rack.

Either shave it completely, else leave the rails on but remove the crossbars.
I like both looks - gives you something to hold onto if you decide to 90s car-surf. |

That being said, if you don't need to carry anything around to begin with, the wagon looks super-sleek without the rack. |

For our Cow-Frog hybrid person, I think the question to ask is how often would you be using your wagon for hauling stuff ? Having a rack on your roof certainly does have merit, if you plan on frequently using your wagon for this purpose, although I would think that if you only want to use your wagon this way only once in a blue moon on the week-ends, maybe getting one of those $180 "folding trailers" that are rated to pull up to ~800 pounds might be a better option. Being low to the ground they are easier to load up, and you probably wouldn't mind scuffing up your cheap folding trailer as much as you would mind scatches on your Subarus roof. EDIT: Here is a link for what I was thinking about :http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=42708 The downsides are you need the space to keep the trailer, you need to mount a hitch, wire up your subaru, and you need to go through the hassle of registering your trailer, and you would still need to plan ahead a bit before you haul stuff. EDIT: Oh yeah, and these toy trailer things really arent especially suitable for extended high-speed travel down your average interstate. The are better for shorter length runs on secondary roads, like trips to your local Home Depot, or doing a "dump run" where these 8" wheels wont be burning up their wheel bearings at 70 MPH.
