32 and have an 06 WRX wagon, bought this for my wife though who is 25. Have had it for almost 4 years now.

Looking into selling it though because she wants a 2011/12 STI. Its been a great car though and won me over to Subaru's. SO much so been looking at a 2012 Forester to replace my CR-V as a work vehicle.

I'm 53. Should those of us over 50 be proud or embarrassed to be driving a Japanese hot rod? When you young dudes see us driving these do you smile in appreciation or laugh at us for trying to be cool?

I would appreciate, most older guys I see are aloof and never even notice another WRX though.

Here in Colorado it seems to be VERY common to see 50+ year olds driving WRX/STI's. It's a practical car to have here. I always give a nod, no matter how old they are. I've actually been surprised to see how many of their cars have mods as well.

Hell, I bought my 2007 WRX limited 3 years ago with low miles from a 60 year old woman who bought it new in late 2006.

I have 20k on my '11 WRX and my wife 20k on her '10 Forester.
If it wasn't for vacations, it would be 15k each.

I am 43. 2013 WRX Limited. My 7 year old twins love riding in it. They nicknamed it the "SILVER BULLET" They would rather take the Subie than the Honda Odyessy.
