Default Video of me at the Track

Here is a video of me at the local track here last Tuesday. The track was JaxRaceways and unfortunately it is only an 1/8th mile track with no time boards. I ran an 8.914@78mph with a 60' time of 1.979. It was a pretty good run none the less and escpecially since it was my last run of 17 made that night.

Mods are:
Exhaust Depot 3" catless downpipe
Exhaust Depot catless uppipe
Homemade Dual Stage MBC set at 15.5psi
Quantum-Racing Intercooler Water Sprayer
Intake Silencer removal

Here is the video enjoy:

Thanks. I was very happy with my 60' times since every time I went to the track before that I was getting 2.0 60' times. My UTEC will be here next week and I cant wait to see what kind of times I can get with it installed. I will definitely get some more video footage. I had a '02 Mustang GT with slicks talking trash to me and then when we raced I smoked him, with him running a 9.2 @74 mph. Need less to say he shut up after that and didnt race any more the rest of the night.

No unfortunately not. There isnt a 1/4 mile track here locally but I do plan to make a drive to Gainsville and get in some 1/4 mile runs there. I figure that my 1/8 mile runs are equal to around a 13.9 second 1/4 mile run.

Decent run, but there is much more in it. I ran an 8.96 with just my pulled hose (~15 psi). That 8.96 run was a 14.09 in the 1/4 btw. Keep practicing (sounds like you are...17 runs in one night ...my 8.96 was my 5th run ever of 9 total) and you should hit 8.7 or better. 8.6s have been done with just an MBC and good gas, so with your exhaust mods I'd shoot for closer to that.

However, all cars are not the same. One might run a 14.1 stock while the other can only manage a 14.5...even with the same driver. You really can't do a direct comparison. 8's are good though. If you can consistently pull 8's, that's even better

I saw your post about your times...very nice indeed. I won't doubt you. I've been to the track and witnessed the performance variance between exact models of cars (with same driver). Sounds like you have the ultimate combo. A quick car from the factory, and a quick driver .

Also, you ran in Texas. They are known for fast tracks. Not that they are not legitimate/downhill/etc., but that they are low altitude and most are very well prepped.

Hehe. I love it when that happens. I took out two Saleens the other night. They weren't happy, I was. Good job.

Yeah the track here isnt in good condition and really needs to be repaved. Most of the cars that run there do not get good times due to its poor condition. I know I could maybe pull an 8.8 at this track but I cant see it improving much more than that unless they do some beter preping. As for practice the only thing I could improve is my 60' but that isnt going to get my times down much more than maybe an 8.7. I will be going to Gainsville next to get 1/4 mile times and I am almost certain that my times will vastly improve since I hear they prep it pretty well. I guess we shall see.

I race at the same track as 02_Scooby_WRX and it SUCKS!!! We're lucky to run 8.9s on a good day. They drench the area before the staging lanes with water... and the track is sloped upwards in certain spots. If i'm pulling 78+ mph right now I can only expect atleast 80 mph at our Gainesville quartermile track.

To prove we know how to drive, modded LS1s are only running 8.8s, 8.7s, and a few 8.6s.. at other tracks they are in the low 8s.
