Thumbs up Subaru Legacy B4 RSK - Website updated

I've redone my website, added more information, and (hopefully) made it easier to find info on the B4.

Also, I'm starting to cull some information off the Yahoo Groups (legacyb4) mailing list that I also run in conjunction with the site and putting together a FAQ and tuning info as well.

There's some neat information on DIY (earthing systems) which ran a few posts long on alt.autos.subaru a few weeks ago as well as some 15 sec. clips of what the B4 sounds like with a modded muffler.

Enjoy!

Hey, I remember reading way back that the GTB (95-99 Gen twin turbo wagon) set some land speed record for wagons. Is that in there somewhere?

BTW, Jeff, new site looks fantastic!
Used to be able to get "big" versions of the Subaru Jp pix, can't seem to anymore.

keep up the good work and making us drool...

Question

This may be a stupid question but so what: Where can I get a B4 hood and grille in black granite pearl?

What a beautiful automobile.

Where is the link for what the car sounds like?

Thumbs up

Well, not sure if you would be able to source one direct through the U.S. Also, do your front faces look the same as far as size is concerned?

The stock B4 muffler is actually pretty quiet; remember that the target is not the younger crowd (which can be seen in the way that the suspension is originally tuned = softer than WRX) so as the numbers of B4 being sold has increased, more and more sport muffler manufacturers are (finally) jumping aboard!

I have the HKS Hypermuffler while a couple of my friends have the Fujitsubo Evolution R; if I had to do it again, I'd take the Fujitsubo because of the balance of sweet sound and low-end torque (the HKS lets just a little bit too much through in the low-end so it's not as punchy). However, at the high end, both work equally well... it's positively scary how effortlessly the B4 will cruise through the 125 mph with room to spare; some of the guys in Singapore have reported top speeds of a hair over 150 mph!

Thumbs up

[duplicate post in General]

Though my site is primarily directed towards the Legacy B4 RSK, all things Subaru have a place as well and I thought I'd share my few clips of a performance put on by Richard Burns at the last Impreza Owners Club meeting here in Tokyo at the Motegi race circuit.

It's now an official event with backing from Subaru and they had RB taking random participants around the circuit (and the pit lane!!!) in the new rally car prototype. Needless to say, the crowd ate it up!

You can find the clips here .

Cheers.

Quick update.

Added in a whole set of new pics to replace the web .gifs that I had grabbed off a Subaru site for temporary placement.

Cheers.
