Default 06 Transmission in 04 WRX e85

Hey everyone I'm in kind of a unique situation. I purchased an 04 WRX back in July and the previous owner had purchased it with the sti transmission in it. The owner also had an 06 WRX and he proceeded to swap out his 5 speed for the 6 speed. Now my question is, if I were to tune for e85 on my current 2.0 with an 06 5 speed, would the transmission hold up a little better? No I won't be driving like an ******* and yes I respect the car and do not beat on it. I only want the added torque for occasional 1st-4th pulls. Unfortunately, I understand that 3rd gear is a real weak spot in the 06/07 and that if you plan on going beyond stage 2 with the 2.5 liter you should consider rebuilding. However, I will be going beyond stage 2 with the 2.0 maybe increasing transmission reliability? Thanks to all.

I've been running my 06 vf39'd for the last 50k. Only the fly on the headliner knows it's true past 100k (150k total) previously. If you shift like **** it may only last 10k. If you're staying on the stock TD04 and don't slam gears you should be fine for a while.
