Default RU Faster Than A Redneck

Did anyone watch the show or seen the previews on speed channel? Seen a couple Subaru's on the previews as one is actually racing them. I thought the show was pretty funny with the redneck remarks

Rednecks love Subaru's. In many country's of the world, Subaru's are the choice vehicle of the redneck.

This show looks rigged. Just watched the second episode. Stock-ish Sti vs track prepped cars. What a joke...

I class this show with the other moronic ones out there; Swap People, Moonshiners, Build it Fast. They're all rigged and scripted and lower the IQ of people that watch them.

The rednecks from the show were on CarCast this week. I haven't seen the show, but it doesn't sound like its "rigged".

I'm sure once enough people talk about this show more there will be way more competitive imports on it that'll take down their "a** kicker" round. Haha

You guys missed the third episode where the modded GT-R blew the doors off of everything it came up against.

I saw two episodes... first two it would seem. It's too corny for me. Besides... they have heavily modified muscle cars making 600~ Horsepower and can barely beat nearly stock cars lol. ( Thinking about that STi owned by the Staff Seargent. His car seems to be only a Stage 2, most likely pro-tuned and managed to keep it close the entire race )

Yeah a pro tune, 3in. TBE AND 3 pbcs. I botched the start I tried getting a good jump on him to the first corner and went waaay too soon and then let out right before the flag dropped so it kinda caught me off guard and off boost. Not that I would have beat him to the corner but I blew my chance cheating to the corner.

Awesome how they've got fully modified, built from the ground up cars, and you got all the way to the third round with minimal modification

I thought it was pretty cool even though they were smack-talking you the entire time they still took a minute out of the show to shake your hand. x2, thank you for your service

PS .. not sure what your driving ed credentials are - so don't take this the wrong way. It looked to me like you were mashing the throttle out of a couple of the turns and fighting the car. smooothly squeeeeeze the throttle such that it's still floored by the apex and you can get it on sooner without the back end fighting. smooth with the inputs .. you probably already know that, maybe just the adrenaline thing and trying to push it 11/10 which is easy to do if you're trying to catch up late. I also noticed what you said about the start, yeah .. another lap or two you'd have got him.

Thye were definitely talking trash, but if you notice they weren't really disrespectful other than calling me Conan Obrian or the red headed step child. most of their comments were I'm driving for the wrong team, where as the other drivers they were calling him a toolbag etc... that was the rednecks idea to shake my hand and all and the director was actually in the back slashing his neck saying its wasn't going to be used so don't waste our time, but as you can see it was. all those guys are cool and invited me to their trailer afterwords to BS and talks cars.
I agree I drove into the corners a lot harder than I probably should have, I've don't nothing but autox up until this event so it was a new experience and even though I know what what a race line is and that slow in, fast out is the best way. Putting that to use for the first time when you're chasing a 600hp track car for $10,000 I easily got a little excited and was trying everything possible to chase him down. like I said before they edited a lot of the driving out so I'm sure they used all the corners where I was sideways and slamming off the rumble strip to make it look like I was driving like an ass, because we all know a perfect apex isn't as exciting for TV as a 4 wheel drift.
