Looks great. Are you going to paint you spats, skirts, and front lip. I think it would look sweet and finish the car off, but thats my preference Sweet car though

Thank you very much! Nope, all the skirting is staying black- it gets too beat-up up here in NH; lots of road salt and sand every winter. The car looks a bit more "evil" with everything all black I think.

Good point no sense in having to get them repainted every spring, to look nice. Or going all sumer with beat up skirting, your probably making a wise decision

Exactly... too hard to keep from chipping them, and I can spend that money on other things, like putting in the power antenna and shaving off the stock one .

That's a great looking ride! Just one question -- I have a Canadian MY00, and am finally changing the front bumper to the US one, and will be getting it painted sometime this week. Is the only difference between the STi Version 5 & 6 bumpers (besides the predrilled holes for the lower lip) is that the horizontal bar behind the licence plate is (a) black on the Version 5 & (b) same as the body color on the Version 6?
All indications so far... Can someone else confirm or deny this for me? Cheers, Kelvin |

Well, I have a v6 front bumper (predrilled holes) and the cross piece is still black . I've seen some come painted and some black... I think the factory just had an off couple of days .

Hand over those rims nice and slow and no one gets hurt! What did you use to clean your tires!? Mine are all brown and nasty with only 5k. Looking nice and shiny Brian! Maybe you should make it even shinier with some 20 inch chrome! Then you can give me those silly gold things you have on now.

Nononononononoooooo... if you try and take the MY98's, the chinchilla gets it! . The wheels cleaned up really well- you should have seen them! I used something called "Quicksilver II" by some company whose name eludes me, and the garage is at the other end of the house and I'm lazy . It's in a silver trigger spray bottle and smells really bad but works quite well. The tires and skirts are shiny and pretty because of some purple Meguiar's stuff that smells like artificial grape candy- I LOVE that stuff .

Hey North Ursalia, did you ever modify your car to have the motorized antenna?
Also, have you ever toyed with the idea of having the rear wiper installed? |

Actually, the motorized antenna is sitting next to me on my desk . I have to get up the courage to hack a hole that big in the side of the car . The rear window wiper is just awaiting me having enough money to have the glass shipped over from Australia- everything else is ready to go.

Hi Brian:
What's required for the rear wiper? That's one mod that I've always dreamed of having from the start...(in my quest to make my car as close to the Japanese spec one...) Kelvin |

No luck on the STi motor as of yet, but I have lots of time . As for the rear wiper, you need the control stalk, relay, wiper motor, wiper arm, and most importantly, the glass. I have all that and a bag of chips- except for the glass . I'll get it done someday .

Hi Brian:
Is the 22B grill the same as the Ver. 5/6 grill? They look similar... Kelvin |

Similar in that they both "stick out" but the mesh is different (I replaced mine from what was supposed to be there) and the pillar that the badge goes on is a bit different as well.

Hey man, were you at Best Buy sometime last week? The one in Salem? I saw your car there, parked pretty close to the entrance. Man, let me tell you, it looks fantastic. I was drooling all over it (hehe), waiting for the owner to come out so I could congratulate him. I waited for 10min or so, but no one came. Anyway, loved your car! Now this might sound weird, but I think those headlight washers were one of the coolest things on your car! Keep up the good work! Excellent car man.
