This winter a set of wheels with snows, and then in the summer, good tires. Thing is, I really like the looks of the OEM sport wheels on this car.

It's funny you say that, because I've found myself kind of missing the OEM wheels. I have an extra OEM Sport wheel, brand new in the box because of insurance from an accident last year. If I have room to pack it, I'll hit you up and you can have it. I'll have a better idea of what I'll be working with after this weekend when I start packing the car and cargo box. I shipped nine boxes already, so just some miscellaneous stuff left to take with me.

I replaced them with flow cast Konig Rennform wheels that are much lighter and feel stronger. They took fairly good beatings throughout a lot of construction across the continent. And they're about to take more when I drive out of Alaska down to the west coast then head east in two weeks for the final time.
Why would Subaru replace your wheel after you hit pot holes? I think I'm missing something.... My bmw M240 M Performance has 225/35/19's on the front. You know what I do? I pay attention to where I drive and swerve around pot holes.

Oh, I do too. I'm pretty good at avoiding them. My wheel was replaced after a car hit me and it got scuffed up. I think you confused my post and KC's.

I learned to watch for potholes. In my mind I pretend they're autox cones. Unfortunately I can't guarantee that everyone who's driven my car has been as mindful. :-/

I was commenting on your comment that they are garbage and bend easily. Also the facebook page where people complain that they bent while hitting pot holes. It's the price you pay with low profile tires, has nothing to do with the wheel itself. Bmw guys, Audi S3 guys have been posting jacked up wheels for years now. It is what it is. I'm looking to get out of my base and jump up to a sport for my daily and even though I'll have more sidewall I'll still be leary. lol

Oh! My bad. It's because I have owned lots of wheels with low-profile tires and have never had issues with wheels before. And I've never seen so much documentation of OEM wheels failing. Just be extra careful!

Cars going into the shop, again, to diagnose the front end. Abnormal tire wear on drivers front tire outer shoulder. Pass side looks "good", rears look great. I've been complaining about noise, pulling, alignment (they've adjusted it a few times under warranty) and vibration for over a year. Instead of "can't reproduce" they're going to have to go through the front end and look at the parts.

And here's the kicker... the tires look almost like they hadn't been rotated in at least 2 oil changes. I'm going to take a tread depth measurement on all the tires before going in.

It's a catch-22. If they say they rotated them, then somethings bent/broken/out of spec. If they say they didn't rotate them, somethings broken AND they've not performed services I've paid for.

I think we're going to both be working under the assumption they rotated the tires and see where that leads.

Bought an 18 STI, I like the look of it. Handles well, maybe better than previous models that I have driven.

I'm not sure he realizes this is for Impreza's and not wrx's and or sti's.

Well, I have 3 more moths left on my impreza base and was looking into options. Saw a picture on subaru's site of the 20' impreza and didn't think it looked as good compared to now. I'll be searching for a leftover 19' base sport. My old back needs heated seats! lol I was going to buy out the 17' but honestly I'd rather have a newer car, less miles and a warranty.

+1 on the 2020 refresh not looking as good as the current model. I kind of think it's the first time a refresh looks worse.

The Sport is a great bargain. Do the 2019's come with middle armrest cupholders for the rear seat passengers? That, plus LED headlights, is all I really want in my 2017.

Itís at another dealership than the one I work at. Iím sure I can find out in a few days. Getting a sedan this time opposed to the hatch.

Took the 13' wrx wheels off and put back on the factory steel wheels. Man that thing is ugly with them on. Picked up my red 19' Sport sedan. Not sure how many of you have actually spent time in the base model and the sport but the cvt trans in the sport is far better than the base cvt trans. Also the car itself feels way more solid than the base which obviously isn't surprising. Lastly I'll be keeping track for a little but the fuel consumption seems superior. I reset my monitor when I left work at the end of the day when I left work at 35 miles later I was at 34 mpg's. If I did that to my 17' I probably would have been at 27 or 28 if I was lucky.

Hmm, didn't think they'd program the CVT in the sport differently... but, wouldn't surprise me.

They are not the same cvt. Base model is a $1000 upgrade from the manual, sport is an $800 upgrade from the manual. That tells me they arenít the same trans. I can always check the part numbers.

I think the 2020 from what Iíve seen looks like itís copying a Volkswagen GTI with the straight lines going across the front. I read that the Japanese Impreza might be getting a front parking camera and mirrors that turn down to the ground when in reverse, that sounds like a nice addition to me! I think the new LED daytime running lights look nicely refined.
