OMGHi2U The outside/hiking/camping/nature pictures thread

the logging company was doing some clearing, looks soo sad, but it is neccisary

follow`d one of the power line roads in my truck after i went fishing on sunday morning...

when i got to the top, and had to go back down....

think it is called Indian Paintbrush

was trying to sneek up on em, but they took off befor i could get a good shot, but this one came out kind of cool....

this is the Kalama river, few shots.

i forgot my tri~pod, so i really couldnt get the shots i would have like`d to... after i was done at the river i hiked up and around some.

The Deschutes River near Warm Springs was incredible on Saturday. It's a little early in the season, and the full moon didn't help, but the fishing really picked up near dusk! No pics, sorry.

sweet!

I've only been in the NW area for about 3 weeks and have done a couple day hikes:

Tiger Mtn:
It was getting cloudy as we neared the top and it started pouring once we got to the peak.

Twin Falls:
Just right below the Twin Falls.

Lower Twin Falls:

We did the hike up Lake Serene by Mt Index on Saturday... will post those pics soon.

i quite like this shot.

here's what i have to offer in terms of nature photos, starting with Arches Natl Park at sundown:

"the sun and the moon" in the middle of Capitol Reef Natl Monument. the smudge in the upper right is dust on the sensor

a third shot, also from Capitol Reef:
