Default (B137) D29 pin? I'm going nuts!!!

2004 STi conversion! In the wiring diagram, I show a RW wire going from pin
D29 at the ECU to the data link connector (B40) pin 6. In the ECU pinouts, there is no D29 that I can find. What in hell is this wire for? Thanks!

I looked in an 07 sti diagram & on the harness, there is only five wires at the ALDL connector.Pin 6 is not used.I don't think the 04 & 07 diagrams are different as far as the ALDL is concerned.

I see it from 04-06, same wire/pin etc. Are you saying your 04' harness is missing this wire completely?

I'm not missing the wire, I'm just trying to figure out exactly what this wire is for. Maybe I shoud rephrase the question.

What communication is sent from pin D29 at the ECU to the B40 connector? In the ECU pinout sheets, I can't find a description of pin D29, but yet the wire is there in the harness.

I know, I know, it probably shouldn't matter as long as I leave the wire in place. But being the curious kind of person I am, this wire has me bugged to the point of obsession. I NEED to know what it is for.
