Did both front wheel bearings over the weekend, and redid the brake ducting (Rev 3). I give them 1.75 weekends.

Is that a Vette brake duct? What's the part #, and what are the inlet and outlet diameters?

Hmmm, guess those are more screwed up than I thought! My driveway isn't particularly level, but I adjusted the driver side down and left a bit, and got the passenger side aimed up higher, so that's progress. I park in a parking garage at work with plenty of level surface to work with, so tomorrow I'll find a dark corner where I can aim the headlights at a wall and fine tune things a bit. I also have higher wattage bulbs to play with - 55/100W and 90/130W.
- Adjusted the headlight aim after work one day last week in the parking garage. I didn't do it the "right" way - taking actual measurements - just eyeballed it against the wall of the garage. Much better coverage now.

- Installed the 55/100W bulbs this afternoon. I don't get a ton of opportunity to use high beams around here, but I'm curious to see how much of a difference it makes. I think I need to upgrade the headlight wiring with relays feeding power straight from the battery before I try the 90/130W bulbs.

Ya, C6 Z06. 15829066 and 15829067, can be had on ebay for <$35.

Ducts are on the car now but the wheel side is ~2.5" OD and the bumper side is 4" ID. I bought a 4" OD to 3" OD Silicone reducer for the transition, and just built up the 2.5" to 3". The reducer was sutured to the duct via zip ties, and the ducting snugged up into the silicon reducer - but I would use a 3" OD coupler next time.

I can snag a picture next time the tire is off. The mounting hole on the duct lines up perfect with the lower ABS hose 'U bracket' bolt. I'm on 245's, and I will still rub slightly at full lock- but better than anything else I've tried.

Thanks. I have some similar parts that I used to make brake ducts for my CTS-V. Guy I got them from wasn't sure what the source was, and whatever part #s they may have had appear to have been ground off. What I have are bigger - about 5" inlet (which was even bigger before I cut them back a bit) and 4" outlet. I've never figured out what they came from.

- Replaced the trailing arm bushings in the knuckles with some poly ones from TiC.

I bought a set of 3-jaw pullers at Harbor Freight the other day, made quick work of pushing the old bushings out.

- Dismounted the tires on the 5-spoke RS wheels that came on the car when I bought it. The wheels are in pretty sad shape. Actually, the wheels are surprisingly good shape - little to no curb rash - but the paint is terrible. I'll clean them up and paint them in the coming weeks. Still debating whether I want to put summer tires on those, or use them next winter and put summers on the V7 wheels that I have on the car now (still on winter tires).

- Planned to do lateral links, too, but didn't come equipped to battle the long knuckle bolts. Those are going to take some work.

Got a Cobb airbox for almost free. Now to get an inlet and afta-maf hose to clean it up a little.

I keep the bolt hanging up as a constant reminder that anything on the Subaru can be accomplished haha.

Made a fender cowl brace yesterday. Still working on welding skills, but improving.

Installed brake duct picture.

sitting around while Mach V changes my WRX's timing belt. figure 10.5 years old. might as well before age catches up to it.

while they're at it, replacing coolant hoses with Mishimoto silicone hoses and the stock radiator with a Koyo before the stock decides to nuke its end tanks.
