I would but its heavy, has a big big dent, and the paint is really poorly done.

Update: Progress isnít exactly flyin by, mostly because I'm lazy. Here are a few pics of the progress. Now I realize most of these pics are of my problems, so lots of help is needed.

My living room; It appears I have double of some parts of my harness, and am sure its missing some major things.

This looks bad... I can't find the SMJ, havenít looked at the wiring diagrams yet to see if this is where it was hacked off at.

Turbo is not fitting great; I believe I have to modify the intercooler brackets.

I'm missing lots of hoses; if any one has any of these around I would love to buy them off you.

Some minor deburring.

Nice clean motor, less AC.

Trashed interior.

Thanks for any help
Nick

it looks like the plugs for the right side of the engine have been hacked off. I can't see the SMJ anywhere on there either. The hoses you are missing are for all the oil and water lines for the turbo.

Is my only choice to find a new harness?

Here are a few more pics.

Ok, so now i found out that the JDM harnesses dosn't have an SMJ. No wonder i couldn't find it, however i can't find the connector for the drivers side of the engine.

Unfortunately you are going to need to get a new harness. That one is even a little too toasted to where it can be "reparied" If you'd like to have me take a stab at it it could be doable but I'm not going to promise anything. I think I have all the plugs that might be needed to repair it but i'm not 100 percent sure on it.

I think i have tracked down whats missing, it seems the passenger side of the under hood bulkhead harness is cut. I'm missing the engine harness connecter, maf, O2, and boost control i think. Any chance you would have those connectors laying around?

I may have some of them that I'm holding onto for current projects of my own. I'd be happy to sell them to you if I do in fact have what you need.

Ouch. That sucks. Where'd you get the harness from?

I was going to chime in that JDM harnesses don't have SMJs but you figured that out on your own.

I got the harness from Innovative Automotive with my motor. I knew it was hacked up, but he said everything i needed was there. The "harness" was only $175 so i can't complain. Innovative has been good to me so far, so I hope they continue to be.

Kotir, you have a pm.

Update!

Progress is going good but slow. Last weekend I got some great help from Kotir. He helped me separate everything I didn't need out of the bulkhead harness. The next day I started splicing in the WRX ecu/harness. I was having some major motivation problems with this step, mostly because I was scared I would F it up. But now that most of the splicing is done I realize itís not that hard.

Here is all i kept from the JDM WRX harness.

Here is what i didn't keep. Part of the reason i have so much left over is i was sent 2 front engine harnesses.

Thats where I spent my sunday.

w00t.

Good times. I'll have to come back up again soon.
And I wanna be there when you fire it up if I can.
Get the other parts you need, already?

would these front engine harnesses be the ones for the headlights, fans, and alternator. if so i would be willing to buy one. i am missing mine due to the fact that i bought my car half way through a swap and it didnt come with one.

Are you sure that you need a JDM harness? Also the reason i used one harness and not the other was because the plugs didn't match up on one connector, where the front harness meets up to the bulkhead harness. I had it all preped and freaked out when it wouldn't match up. I tried the other harness and it worked. i'm guessing the years were off.

i am sure i need a jdm harness. i have a 94 sti ra motor and harness and the front harness connects via an smj on the passenger side(right). is this what you have, if so i would be willing to purchase it from you.

Jdm harnesses don't have an SMJ. My harness was 2002 plus so my guess is the connectors are different from your 94.

Actually the older harnesses do have a SMJ on them.
