Second best color? Your Trunkmonkey is supposed to do the heavy drinking, not you . Even still, I updated/added the list, including PSM .

How do you have time to give me hell? You have brochures you should be scanning !

FRP is fiberglass reinforced plastic... I'll update the list a bit later. I'm trying to find a way to pay for my new alternator right now .

You could simply swap it for AO's at the next garage day. When he's not looking, of course!

Yeah, but we'd have to do one now as the car doesn't go far without an alternator. Mysteriously, even though it is necessary to keep the car running, it is not a powertrain item. It is a "minor powertrain item" which is apparently covered under the 3/36000 not the 5/60000, and I get punished for driving it alot . 43k, so no warranty for me even though the car is only 18 months old .

How can they break "Powertrain Warranty" into subsections?? They can GOMT for that.

I'm sure you're service rep. is accurate with his info.

Well, Exeter called and was told it wasn't under warranty, so I called SOA. Got the same story. Now, I understand that I'm 7,000 miles over the 3/36, but I do that many miles in 2 months or less... I explained that I was very disappointed that an alternator would break in 18 months, and that while I have replaced one on every Subaru I've ever owned, they all happen at 150k+ (the one on the BRAT went at about 202,000 miles!). The lady at SOA checked for a recall, there wasn't one. So, if you've got less than 36k, break your alternator before that so you get one that will last .

Here's a couple

ACD = Active Center Differential
AYC = Active Yaw Control

I know, I know, they're Mitsu acronyms, but hey, why not?
