Why isn't this post perma-stickied? Or at least linked in the FAQ's section of the board? Seems like a waste of North's (and friends) hard work to me...

It is semi-psuedo-stickied - the result of diligent wh0r1ing.

For GDA (New Age Impreza), I've seen TAGDA in 'Tokyo Exyreme Racer Zero' for PS2. What does the 'TA' stand for? Just wanted to know.

There are many more people in the Impreza world now with boost gauges. I've seen at least 5 different units used to indicate boost pressure. If this FAQ is meant to be a reference, then it should show the correct relationships among these different units. The info below is derived directly from the official conversion factors adopted by the US and given in:
http://physics.nist.gov/Pubs/SP811/appenB8.html

When I use an equal sign (=), then the relationship is exact.
When I use a tilde (~), then the relationship is approximate.

1 Atm = 1.01325 Bar = 101.325 kPa = .101325 mPa ~ 14.7 PSI
1 Bar = 100 kPa = .1 mPa ~. 9869 Atm ~ 14.5 PSI
1 kPa = .01 Bar = .001 mPa ~ .009869 Atm ~ .145 PSI
1 mPa = 10 Bar = 1000 kPa ~ 9.869 Atm ~ 145 PSI
1 PSI = .06894757 Bar = 6.894757 kPa = .006894757 mPa ~ .068 Atm

Blitz boost gauges use a made-up unit called hkPa which is presumed to stand for "hectokilopascal" and is equal to 1 Bar.

"Dibs" is something someone "calls" meaning roughly "I'm first in line for this, give me the details." I'm not sure exactly where the word "dib" came from however. For instance, if I was selling an exhaust, and someone wanted it, they would call "dibs" meaning "hey, I want this talk to me." "Sic" is a term from Latin, though I can't for the life of me think of EXACTLY what it means. However, it means something to the effect of "that's the way it was said/written." It is usually used to let the reader know that the editor/writer didn't screw up spelling/grammar. For instance, if an article had a quote of "I grew up in Inidana (sic) where my grandma used to grow corn" it is meant to inform the reader that this was an exact quote and not that the editor/writer didn't know how to spell Indiana .

What about ECM? Its close to ECU, but some might wonder. Electronic Comupter Module? Is this just what Subaru calls the ECU, or is there a difference?
