Default high RPM knock

i have been trying to tune and everytime i try to add timing i will get knock form 6k up. both fine learning (1.05) and feed back (2.11) the thing is the car has done if from the stage two original tune. if i run 19degrees timing i am fine, but anything over it i get knock consistanly, even some times at 19 i will. i dont get any signs of knock anywhere else. now the biggest thing i am wondering is that how am i getting knock? all of my knock is turned off above 6k, and yet i keep getting it. my mods are
vf37-20g wheel
oem twinscroll exhaust with 3inch straight pipe turbo back.
perrin crank pulley
modded stock injectors
aps turbo inlet
sti top mount
walbro fuel pump. K and N drop in filter

high load high rpm knock is the most dangerous type. The last thing you want to do is ignore it. This kind of knock is what kills engines.

If you are knocking above 19deg then unfortunately that is as much timing as your motor seems to support given the fuel used - or you are leaning out and that is causing the knock and not the timing.

As posted above, do you have a log? Post it here and ppl will be able to better determine the problem and a solution.

yea i got a few give me a second, i have backed it down to 19 degrees, and i am fine, i just have never seen a car not be able to take more than 19 at redline, this seems like maybe it has something to with why i cant get my g/sec any higher than 250 even though i am making like 300whp

Do you have a wideband? You could be leaning out as others have said

actually i had an innovative, and had a problem with them and they wouldnt fix it so i just recently got rid of it, i will be buying an aem in the next month or so, i am actually looking and this guy with a pe1820, pretty much closest turbo to it, is making pretty much the same power, and he can only run 19 degrees timing, also, i wonder if its something to do with the turbo setup in general, i can run more boost and i am fine, just not more timing.

Just a question but will moded stock injectors support a 20G under heavy timing? Is the duty cycle maxed for stock injectors with that turbo setup?
Just a question as I have not delt much with moded injectors.

well i am actually only at like 60-65%, so i dont think they are a problem, now it could be that they dont have a great spray pattern so it doesnt atomize as good as others, but i dont know, its a vf37 with a 20g wheel

You'll be just fine with modded stockers. Just as the OP said.

I don't have a 20G, but on my 16G EVOIII my IDC's are no higher than 48-50% on my modded stockers. Upgraded fuel pump is a must as well.

Ill chime in since Im the 1820 owner that you are refering too,

I seem to be limited to about 19 degrees uptop because I choose to run higher amounts of boost up top, rather than increase the timing. Its a balancing act.

what engine management are you using? RomRaider Cobb AP? Pro-tune OS?

Also Id look into getting a WB if you don't already have one, that would definitely tell you exactly where your at. A/F wise.
