I might not be there right at 9, but will try to show up. Maybe Orion and I can get that boost gauge in. Maybe if I'm in charge it will actually get in there!

Default She's ready for surgery

Hopefully the uppipe installation won't be that bad. I cut the heat shield on yesterday and sprayed all the bolts down. She is going to rest until Saturday morning.

Also had to remove the muffler because the dumb a$$ that welded the tips used the wrong wire and it is now starting to rust. I should have noticed before, being I am a CWI. Having someone try to clean it up and TIG weld it. Hopefully he can get it to stop without having to pickle it.

Damn, I already had a full day booked saturday, but nothing beats a shop day, I'll be there. I was going fishing, a cook off, going to chain o lakes and something with my girlfriends, but now a shop day? Screw it all, I'll be there.

Kewl. I will try to make it so I can meet you guys and get some good up close experience with Subie-wrenching. I might just change my oil and install some foglight covers but ya gotta start somewhere right?!

It is either subie work or making beer this weekend...hmm!

I've got one of those (Samco turbo inlet hose) coming in. That should make for a fun shop day. I'm not the only one in town so maybe we can make it a group install!

Highly unlikely for both of us. They are coming from the UK. Mine went out on Monday. Unless he used DHL or something, I don't expect them until mid next week.

I would really like to help put one in before I buy one. Can't be as bad as an up pipe. Can it?

Is this the same hose as you get with Cobb stage 1?

If so, doesn't look that hard...

No. Go straight to jail, do not pass go. This is the Turbo Inlet hose, you know the one that goes under the intake manifold runners back to the turbo....

Dustin - I was talking about the compressor hose that everyone makes fun of.

Danz - Its the hose that goes into the turbo's intake side. Its not really a hose stock, its more of a piece of crap platic piece. And yes, it is a beaotch. Gotta take the whole intake manifold off.

What was under my doormat in the corner of the porch today?

Why it was some Samco hoses! They also included a cool 'Forge' keychain and a window sticker.

Looks like I finally have a reason to show!
