Just to add some more info to this thread.

The low pressure return line from the rack uses a 16mm x 1.5 o-ring female to AN adapter. This is the larger line that is right next to the high pressure line by the up pipe.
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...EAR-9894DBJERL

This will allow you to use the line you have left from the high pressure line to run the return to the fluid tank.

Luckily I found it in the line before it got a change to circulate around.
I believe using this part will prevent having to remove any o-rings:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EAR-9919DFHERL/

It's just a straight-up -6 AN male to 14x1.5mm male adapter. I'm assuming it should probably be used with a crush washer on the metric side like a standard banjo bolt would have underneath.

i just had to redo my PS line. im an idiot and picked up the wrong type of line (wasnt teflon) and when i was having some fun in the latest snowstorm i blew a hole right through the line. *sigh*.

scby rex - i like the way you have done that so far. what are those bolted/tied down? (the hardlines). i was going to do something similar, but i just have way too much crap over there already. my perrin kit doesnt allow for much room either between the uppipe and tranny.

It can be done for even less money if you don't use so many aluminum fittings. I've done a few of these so far and I just order the one lower adapter fitting, and have the rest crimped together by a local industrial supply shop out of stainless fittings and teflon/braided line. You pay a lot more for the blue and red.

No.^ The only "restrictor" Ive seen is the flex part of the hose is slightly smaller than the hardline.

and how did it blow up? only way i could see it breaking is if it was sitting on something and burned a hole through it. not saying this is the case, but i just wanted to know what caused it.

How did you guys remove the crimped hose on the return line? Did you just cut it off?

This will allow you to use the line you have left from the high pressure line to run the return to the fluid tank.
Awesome info Bill! I didn't see this until now but you confirmed my digging around! Now I will have -6 high pressure line and -6 low pressure line. The question is, does anyone know what size I should run from the pump to the tank on the low pressure side? I'm thinking it's -10 but my friend thinks -12.

This isn't a good idea bro. That fitting is not high pressure. You need to run crimped on fittings only or a power steering designed fitting seen here.

http://www.anplumbing.com/shop/index...ower!_Steering

I agree the earls fitting you used looks soo much nicer, but it's going to be bad news if it leaks. Your car will catch on fire since the up pipe and turbo are right there. I had to suck it up too and get fittings that were silver and didn't match the rest of my fuel, coolant, & crank vent systems.
