The recommendation of +43 to +47 you refer to above is somewhat arbitrary, but I'd say it's trying to maintain a balance of strut clearance and fender clearance, while generally leaning toward an assumption that lower offset is better in terms of appearance. --Dan Mach V FastWRX.com

Hey,
I have a 2014 WRX and I am planning on using my stock tires and putting them on enkei RPF1 17x9. Will it fit correctly? Might need a minor stretch. Any suggestions would be appreicated |

D'oh! You are right. My brain read "2002 WRX".
But to the original poster, the car will work great, and will look a lot better, with the alloy wheels I referenced. Steel wheels are heavy and ugly. --Dan Mach V FastWRX.com |

True. You'd think I would have known that, since I have a separate listing for the 2005 WRX wheel... Fixed.

Thanks. I'm going from 28 pound 08 Sti 5 spoke rims to 18 pound rpf1's. How much do the 2012 BBS rims weigh? I heard they are lighter than 08-11 Sti BBS rims.

Yes, thanks. Sorry if I wasn't clear. We know how much the 08- 11 BBS Sti rims weigh. My question is how much do the 12-14 BBS rims weigh? I heard they got lighter in 2012 for some odd reason. I was going to buy a set of stock BBS rims, but was wondering if it was worth looking harder and spending more for a newer set.

I have a 2013 Wrx. I was curious if you know what the lightest 17" OEM wheel would be. I want to get an extra set of wheels for my car. but i don't have a ton of money to buy some TE37's, so if i could replace them w/ a different set of OEM's (i.e. 5x100 STi wheels) that'd be cool but i don't want to replace my stock wheels w/ something equally has heavy (or heavier).

Mach V Dan : Although this thread is focused on alloy wheels I would like if you added the new 17 inch steel specifications. Base model 2014 and up Forester got these new 17 inch wheels.
I didn't see a picture in your quote but I have a set of SS wheels if you want me to compare them for you. I know that some Outbacks did get the original SS wheels |

Mach V, the 2004 wrx jdm/edm rims. is there a color code as to that rim? Im just curious because a lot of the guys who like the classic subaru rims like myself need to get them refinished and r having a hard time color matching? Is there a guide or place that has a more in depth spec on the rims colors?? Thanks! |
