Default Will 05 STi springs lower my 05 WRX?

Hey,

I was wondering if I bought a set of used STi springs if they would lower my WRX and also if they will bolt right in with stock WRX struts. Someone please let me know. Thanks. Also, how much drop would there be approximately. Thanks.

Cliff

The '05 STi has a different knuckle, but I believe the spring perch is still at the same height on the strut. Stock STi springs shouldn't lower your car any. If they do, its probably only 1/4" or less.

As for fitting on WRX struts...yes, but I wouldn't. The WRX struts don't have the proper damping to deal with stiffer springs. They'll fit, but you'll also get more bounciness.

yeah...or not.

If you have suspension questions, browse through the suspension forum first. Run a search, or just read through. There are questions like this daily, and most times you don't get someone suggesting a spring that is known to kill your stock struts and actually end up costing you more time and money.
