I am looking for a front and rear strut bar for my 02 leg GT LTD. If you know a web site it would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Not sure if this will help, but there's an "upgrade garage" link at the top of the website, right hand corner. I believe it links to a site where you can get all kinds of parts. Check it out.

front bars are easily swapped from many subarus.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure GC, GD, BD, BE all swap over on the front.

I'm not too sure about that, Mark. I know my BE bar doesn't fit on my WRX.

BD and GC are the same in the front.

BD and GD are the same in the rear.

GD and GC front strut bars are not swappable. The holes on the GD are rotated a bit.

I'm still trying to get a definate "What stur bar fits a BE?" because I need to know wheter or not to sell my CF GC STi one. I've heard different things so it mught just be a try it and see if it fits situation.

The strut bar I have on the front of mine was listed originally for a GC impreza.

I see...

What's the black stuff for? Protect that part from something in the bay?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-S...QQcmdZViewItem

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-S...QQcmdZViewItem

http://www.optionimports.com/680-540-a.html

^I have that one

Oh, and FYI, BG, BD, BE, and BH will use the same strut bars.

Also, it's been said over and over, but I just have to note it again, your money is better spent elsewhere in suspension mods before going with a strut-bar. The BE/BH chassis is plenty stiff as it is and something like a rear-sway bar or steering rack bushings (heck you can buy them both for the same money as some of the blingy strut bars listed here) will make a more noticeable improvement in the suspension.

Thanks for the sites. I will have to check them out. I ahve already lowered my car with KYB shocks and struts and H&R springs. I was going to go with the strut bar because it was an easy mod. The sway bars will take more time than I have right now. But trust me I want to do it all!

Please excuse my ignorance but could some one list the different styles engines Subaru has. I know my 02 Legacy is a BE but I don't know what the rest are. Like impreza and the rest of the legacy years.

Engine codes list isn't entirely accurate, actually, and I need to update it to fit in a lot of codes

agreed, the chassis is plenty stiff you'll gain pretty much 0 by adding a front strut bar. It serves as engine bay bling and will not help you whatsoever (unless your auto-xing / tracking the car). Are you? The BE is so damn heavy that you NEED a bigger rear bar. Don't waste your time or $ on a strut bar.

Is 22inches the biggest you can get for the rear? What about the front? I am not a racer by any means I just want better handling and control. Another question. I have a complete exhaust upgrade on my subie. Will the sway bar fit around it? I have a stromung muffler and mid pipe. The same one you can buy on boxer4racing.

I think mine was a 24, but I could be mistaken.

better handling, eh? What tires do you have? I'd suggest a rear bar + some good rubber. That plus your suspension you're already overkill for the street. Please tell me this will auto-x or track...

If it's a BE, yes you can.

Since you're on a budget, I would get the best bang for the buck mod you can do; tires. You'll get a lot more performance (braking, turning, even ride quality etc.) from just changing the tires than any of the other mods you wanted to do IMO. I think the Cusco and Whiteline RSB's are adjustable up to 24mm. The IPD RSB (which is the cheapest) is non-adjustable and is 22mm.
