Yes my injectors are stock. I dont know what the ICD's are I can call and find out. Whats nice if you compare graphs I have hp and tq gains of 30+ Under the hood is nice because I have that limited fmic with the red tubes and black core which goes well with the wrinkle red AEM intake and red perrin inlet hose...

I wish there was launch control for the AP so I can get some good 0-60 times.
Matt at HB Speed said pretty much anything from 330+ WHP is close to blowing the motor status so for now I plan on keeping the car as is for awhile.

They told you 330 is close to blowing the motor? I made 504 on that dyno on my stock motor. No wonder why I'm having issues

What kind of car do you have? A STI motor can handle alot more power than a wrx can. I would assume anytime your making 500+ whp on stock internals you are gonna run into some problems.

+1,000,000 haha. I can not believe I wasted so much money into that car with i/h/e and volk's. It was a nice car and all but it was no Subie. To me it just seems like you get sooooo much more out of modding a turbo compared to a n/a car. You figure MAYBE 5 whp with exhaust on the fit compared to +30 whp with a turbo back on the Subie.

How do you figure? only difference between the two motors is the dish in the pistons, same rods, same crank, different pistons and different heads. the pistons are the same strangth and the heads just have a different chamber. So basically the same engine but wrx's have a higher compression ratio so in turn can make a bit more power.
I'm running 420whp/430wtq on stock internals on an sti, no problems yet and its 50,000 miles strong.

Your tanny is getting close to failure at that power if you do not drive it properly.

Yeah I have an 06 Sti with a 35r. I knew I would have problems and eventually need a new motor. I just wished I could of gotten a clean run down the track with this setup. Immediately after my tune I was running extremely rich. Jon told me I have a boost leak somewhere. I still havent been able to find it though.

Anytime your car is making over twice its original you are gonna run into some problems. I am a "nooby" so I do not know exactly why you would run into problems but I am sure someone more knowledgeable will chime in and answer your question. Personally if I ever went rotated setup I would look into upgrading pistons/rods and retainers + whatever else my tuner would suggest. I know of 2 3g WRX guys who have blown their motor with a stock location turbo but having low compression in a cylinder...

*Well I got promoted at work so I was able to save up for the extra $$$. And I like the look.
**I have looked into a lot of different dyno sheets and it seemed like people with fmic were putting down more tq compared to similar mods. And I mean +30 wtq and I know different dyno read different etc....
***Something that helped me talk myself into spending that much on a fmic was I live in Socal so it is always hot and a fmic would cool my motor better and have less chance of heat soak. Just yesterday it was almost 80 degress...
****I eventually want to go to a bigger turbo and because I have an 08+ WRX the motor layout is a lot different and the stock location turbos are super limited. By going fmic I can run any stock location turbo the the previous gen WRX/STI can. So that was also something I took into consideration, so I spread the cost out. Because right now all I would need is larger injectors for a bigger turbo...

I want the DOM 2.5 XT-R but I think that might be too much power for my car. I just want a fun DD maybe when I have the extra $$$ I will upgrade my turbo so if I blow my motor ill have the extra $$$ to build it stronger

I live in So Cal too. I guess I'm trying to convince myself to go FMIC. How long have you been FMIC and hows the cop attention?

I have only been running fmic for a week or so. Cop attention should be low because its the black core so you can really see unless you know what you are looking for. I have only been pulled over once and that was because I rolled a stop sign right in front of a cop. And my windows are tinted "dark" and I have been ok.....

Sorry I have not had a chance yet. I did have a chance to do some 0-60s on the AP and my clutch started slipping
