Default Damn Damn Damn Damn Damn!!11one!

My '97 Tacoma was stolen out of my driveway 45 minutes ago. There was a sh_tload of tools and stuff in there, too. Sonofabitch!!

On the plus side, Henrico county police are some bad mofo's, maybe they'll have an excuse to pop the thief in the head.

Hopefully he gets out of the truck before they shoot him.

Good luck with all that.

Seriously. Let's profile this a little.

Is it obvious that the thing is loaded with tools?

Or would the perp have to know that you had them in there? HRRRM?

Methinks this was a premeditated thing.

I mean, who walks around and looks in cars/suvs/etc and thinks, "Whatever one has the most tools in it, we're stealing!"???

It wasn't obviously loaded. Maybe someone knew, but I don't know anyone in this area that knows what I have.

So, tell me, why would someone steal a Tacoma, eh?

Are the parts really expensive? Are they rare in your region?

Think this through.

That sucks, common cars are stolen far more often than rare ones. Easier to strip parts and sell them.

I had to borrow a pickup today. It was a lowered S-10 with a scalloped paint job, mustang looking wheels, and a dead inspection.

God damned car theives.

Im not in law enforcement (yet) i am a scanner junky and it's my understanding that some sort of report would be made for a stollen car. Unless the cops stole your car.

They found it. Actually, It's been sitting behind a local grocery store for the last two weeks (1 mile from my house), and the owner called and had it towed. Apparently, it's undamaged. I'll have a look at it tomorrow, and I'll keep everyone posted.

Other than markings that suggest that someone stood on the hood and spun like a ballerina, the truck is perfectly fine. Tools, CD's and a digital camera were taken. It sits safely at the body shop awaiting an inspection.

Thanks for letting me rant.
