Cool My trip to the land of Scoobies...

I went up to North Conway this weekend and boy are there a lot of Subarus all over the place. Very few RS's, but tons of Legacys, Imprezas, and some Foresters.

So, I just have to tell you guys about the trip up Friday night. I left kinda late and got to Lincoln around 9ish and decided to go across the kank (rt 112) to get to the Conway area. After passing Plymouth the roads were really starting to get snowy. Kank was empty but snow covered, so I'm tooling along climbing and climbing without problems. Then I go down the other side, and oh *****, ***** the rear end starts wandering on a long right sweeper doing 40+ mph with just guardrail between me and huge drop. I'm counter steering but nothing is happening other than the side of the road is coming closer and closer. Pushed the clutch in, tapped the brakes and that did nothing. Then I hit the end of the curve and came into the straight away and I tested the ABS and slowed down.

Someplace towards the bottom, somebody completely stuff an Audi into the snowbank. We stopped and checked it out, but looks like we weren't the first to stop and we kept going.

North Conway wasn't too bad, except for West Side Rd. I'm driving along and going around a corner when I get the that just doesn't feel right feeling... After I finish the corner, I tapped the brakes and whooaaa, ABS engages, total ice. Going to be a fun weekend.

I did see one 98 Rally Blue RS on West Side Rd Saturday after noon and one Blue RS Sedan parked right in front of EMS Sunday morning, otherwise the place is filled with 4x4s, SUVs, and Subarus.

The ride back was basically un-eventfull except for the bump, bump, bump, bump bump, bump, air, bump, bump, air, bump on the Kank.
