It should blink when it drops to 37*F, or anytime you start the car and it's lower than that. Should blink for 5 seconds or something and then go solid.

If yours is just blinking consistently no matter what, I'm no help.

You trying to be a douche bro? I mean seriously, it was a real question. I'm not trying to race, it's just for my own good.

He isn't trying to be a douche but your question has been asked by almost EVERY noobs. If you read every threads (or just this 1) about getting more power for N/A Subaru & there's only 1 answer: don't bother.

Your best bet is to upgrade suspension.

Get UEL headers, an exhaust and lower it/get suspension upgrades. All you can do is make it sound good and look good, handle pretty nicely, but not fast.

Yeah I want coilovers because summers are really nice and we get some bad snow days here in Colorado so I couldn't just get lowering springs. But I'm definitely thinking about getting Borla Cat-back exhaust and UEL headers in the future. I know I can't do too much for speed but making it just a tiny bit better on acceleration is my goal as of now. I know my car isn't a WRX or anything but I'm still pretty happy with it.

Actually it makes more sense to get springs in a cold climate. Cheap-mid grade coilovers will degrade fast.

I'm thinking about vinyl wrapping the trim panel on my hatch with carbon fiber wrap. But you run into a problem with the plastic oval Subaru logo badge. Does anyone know if you can remove that oval badge and then put it back on?

Nothing like repeating what has already been said at least 100 times in this thread.

Regardless of what springs you get, you are going to need upgraded struts. I personally recommend Koni Yellow's (as do a lot of other people here). I personally have RCE Blacks for springs. My ride setup is perfect for a daily driver and I really couldn't ask for much more. Handling is top notch, and the ride is great. Levels out right away after hitting bump(s). My spring drop was .75" but my overall height drop is probably more around 1.5".

Not trying to be rude here but... do some reading. Specifically this thread. These questions are answered every 5 pages it seems.

Negatory, but now I will cuz it seems your game in racing aint under 10 seconds with a blown manifold dawg.

Pretty sure going to CVS and buying NOS and pouring into gas tank will help. Definitely helped me get a few hp out of that.

P_cat, seriously use google because you probably use it everyday at school and at home and learn to read what a billion other posts have said.

Ok, I want something that's gonna be good when it snows, but also before and after winter when I switch from summers to stockers

AFAIK, DWS are great all-round tires, but aren't the best when compared to dedicated snow tires, however are apparently the best all season tire.

Since you are in NJ, wouldn't it be snowy/cold throughout the winter? If so, why not dedicated snow tires?

Because for the time I'm running them, probably end of November to end of March before I put my summers on I don't want them getting worn out quickly with no snow

The DWS are good year round. I hate the soft sidewalls though. Driven them in a few blizzards here. I think last year we had like 10" in 5 hours. Zero problem cruising around. The past few days here the weather was -5 or so with wind chills reaching -20. Lots of black ice everywhere. The tires still performed well. If you already have a summer setup I would say get dedicated snow tires. Otherwise the DWS are highly rated all-seasons.

Ok ok, any suggestions for them and something in the same class as the DWS for research purposes

As long as you're not cornering super hard they don't wear too fast. If you have dedicated summers, you should just go the same for winter. All seasons are crap compared to winters.

Don't get me wrong, some all seasons are nice tires and can perform in any condition but when it comes to snow performance, winter tires are uncomparable. On a handful of occasions I couldn't do donuts properly because of the grip.
