I drove a 1997 gmc Sonoma 5 speed while I waited for mine... The gear box is no where even close to something like that. Not even anywhere near being comparable, not even once... Stop exaggerating, everyone.

So, car is completely awesome. Picked her up with 8 miles. Just about at 70 now after driving home. Today was the first day I ever drove stick. Stalled out about 4 times. I had a guy on a bike laugh at me, but sympathetically. Drive by said, "you'll get it, we've all been there." Putting today down a success. Pulling for y'all to all get yours soon.

Yes, the exaggeration is a little over used. Not saying the stock shifter is great, but I have used a lot worse in my day.

That's phenomenal. I stalled 3 times on my way home from the dealer and I've been driving a stick for 30 years. Quicker clutch engagement than I was use to.

Well that's not to say I messed up a few shifts, had the car kind of buck on me a few times. My fiancÚ was riding shotgun, learned on stick so I had a coach a whole time.

I got a decent deal and pulled the trigger... just waiting for the title for old car and then i can pick it up. How hard is it to trade an STI trunk for wingless? I imagine the ppl who pulled it off are not following threads like this so prolly wont get much info... but just in case - looking to trade my DGM sti trunk for a wingless

People that do it probably look at the trunk swap threads. There are also a couple of good how to' s already written for it. You also have to trade the lock and shocks/pistons.

Hello from a new guy.

Picked up my 2013 ISM 5 door Premium WRX yesterday...

Going from a RWD V8 vehicle to an elantra beater car to now this is quite the difference. I normally have some feeling of remorse after making a decision to purchase something big but I really couldn't be happier with the car, although "break-in" sucks.

5 minutes from being pulled into the driveway, Rally Armor mudflaps began to go on as well as a WC Lathewerks shift knob.

Finally picked up my car on Saturday, 5 days after it was supposed to arrive. It's ok though, it was worth the wait. I love it.

Sorry for not so good photos. All cellphone pics randomly taken. And yes, i haven't unwrapped the hood/roof yet. Getting a clear bra this week.

Generally agree, but on my silver I think the clear tails look nice/clean/classy - (pic from cars101.com)

Tomorrow is 10 weeks for me with no news - no VIN or specific ETA besides "sometime in late July."

This wait is brutal...

Do you mean on silver or on a WRX?

I ordered mine mid March and delivery is scheduled for 8 July. That's roughly what the dealer predicted, but still.. lead time on these things is crazy.

A lot of the wait time is at the port. My car sat there for 4 weeks. And I didn't have very many options at all. (Floormats and compass mirror) can't imagine the wait at port for people that loaded their car out with options.

Mine was there for about a month as well. Btw turbo, would you happen to have a video link or anything you used for install on that KB SS? I'm gonna put it in myself I've decided and just leave the bushings for the shop. If you don't ill search around

Thanks my man. I actually saw this one a while back, I'm wondering if its it's different with the STi because I have the lockout mechanism for reverse.

How do you know if your car is at the port or still overseas somewhere?
