Braille’s commitment to development of lightweight components led us to replace one of the most over-looked items on the vehicle, the battery.

Is that the best price you can do on here? I was looking at some of the dynabatts, or Baker precision batteries for like $90 bucks. If this one is better, Maybe $175 shipped, or something like that? That seems alot for a battery that is not much better, if any than a dynabatt. What makes it different?

Anybody know how much the stock battery weighs so we can see the weight saving benefit better? Also, you say everything needed to install, what is included?

The stock battery in my STi weight 33 lbs. I weighted it on a bathroom scale.
I just replaced it over the weekend with a Odyssey PC680 at 16 lbs. It work fine so far. So this Braille battery is another 4.5 lbs lighter ADDICT |

wewu-Thanks for the info. Great to have an explanation of what can be expected of these dry cell batteries. Racers should consider and daily drivers should read article. It answered my questions. Must add, still a great battery, just depends what you're looking for.
Thanks. |

I put a PC680 in my car recently. It fits under the passenger seat in a 'soft' lunchbox quite nicely, and an Anderson connector makes for easy install/removal.

I'm collecting info on this for you guys,
The CCA @ 0 degrees (F) is 332. It's listed at 400 AT 80 because we are in Florida and so is the company. It's a local reference point since it dosen't get to 0 here ( we hope!!! ) I'll have more info this afternoon with a side by side comparision over the other brands to shoe the difference. Bill |
