Default Open letter to the jackass in the theater...

Dear Jerkstain;

The poor girl came around to sell heart chaped pins for a children's chairity. You claimed you already had a chairity called "The Mustang." Your dickweed friends thought this was hilarious. Everyone else in the theatre thought you were a douchebag.

You continually talked very loud during the previews. Some people actually like to watch them. Small wonder you had someone tell you to shut the **** up. Then you became the ultimate redneck *******, stood on your seat, and called that person out. You then got shouted down by the rest of the theatre. You sat down, like the bitch you are.

You LIVE in a military town. Chances are, as you found out last night, there are military members in the audience. When you and your arsehole qumquat friends start making joking remarks during the obligiatory recruiting commercial, about things like, "Friendly Fire incidents," "Maybe we should teach our troops to duck", you are going to get injured. It was no surprise to me when you got hit in the mouth with the 'ol haymaker. I will testify at that Petty Officer's summary trial as a character witness. I hope your teeth felt wonderful going down the back of your throat.

I guess getting the theater manager to throw the guy out wasn't an option? Can't we all just get along?

35 year old redneck douchebag male gets punched in the teef by some Navy Petty Officer.

Off Duty LEO was in theatre, checked the PO's ID, MP's arrive.

Everyone else enjoys movie as arsehole and his friend left.

The PO leaves in MP Custody.

Theatre "supervisor" refused to do anything. Was a 21 yo pimply faced maggot who was still trying to recover from the beating he got during the first week of "Jackass 2"

The movie was Wild Hogs. I raffed more than once.

^ why did he get beat up?
guy who just bought a 4 door GTI, yea that's what I'm saying...
the guy who punched him seems to be a jackass himself, the kind that thinks he's a tough guy, like the guys in pickups who can't park. There were actually two stories on this in teh OT recently.
richde you sound like this too from your previous post.

Yeah, since when has physical violence been justified by someone being a douchebag. I hope whoever punched the douchebag gets the fine/time he deserves.

1st, yes, punching the guy who was being a jackass is a dick move, but if you can tell me that you don't wish there were more people around willing to make others pay the consequences of their over the top offensive actions....well, I won't call you gay because that would be an insult to homosexual people everywhere.

2nd, the PO didn't "think" he was a tough guy, he actually followed through with the thought that probably went through half the people in the theater minds, "That guy deserves an ass kicking." He just decided that since nobody else will do it, he will. That's the crucial difference with thinking you're a tough guy, and being one....obviously lost on you. If the world were filled with more people like the PO, there would be less jackasses making jokes in poor taste in movie theaters, etc.

Am not, and never claimed to be a "tough guy." But I guess you'd rather be infuriated by some jackass talking through an entire movie at the theater so you can come home and bitch about it to all your friends than see someone actually do something about it.

A world filled with people who punch people for talking and being rude is not a world I want to live in.

Deal with it, call the usher or leave and get your money back.

yea I would do something about it, but not go punch them for it...
apparently to you hitting people = ok as long as they deserve it, w.e. the problem is... ?

IMO if the punching was really necessary, they should have take it outside so the other people won't be bothered by the commotion it caused. I'm pretty sure that this guy could have easily be taunted to step outside to fight...

I'm also pretty sure the story isn't as simple as the OP made it. As in, I doubt that the PO walked down to the jackass and proceeded to beating. Use your common sense and imagination. I could easily see the jackass trying to puff up trying to get the PO to back down after being told to act in a more responsible manner, maybe even giving a push or making a similar stupid move. Hello self-defense.
