Default 37 and just bought my WRX

I just bought my 02 Bugeye this Saturday. I've wanted this car for 12 years! Finally! It has a Cobb flash tune, Cobb turbo-back exhaust, MRT exhaust and blow off valve. Body is completely stock, but that will change. I have always wanted to create a Sparco WRX, but, at 37, I am rethinking things styling wise and will likely keep the outside more conservative. My plan is to drop a Cosworth 2.5 motor in it with full Sti drive train and basically keep it forever.

Cool

I'm turning 33 in January and I purchased a WR Blue 2014 WRX Hatch. It's currently only 2 weeks old.

This is my first subie and it's not even broken in yet. Picked the hatch because I own a doggy daycare and I needed the versatility. I've wanted a rex for years and finally got the green light from the wife. Wanted to pull the trigger for this year's WRX since the model is going to change next year.

I don't have any plans to do any mods that'll void the warranty right now. But I'm definitely interested in the stage 2 once the warranty runs out.

Any members from Calgary?

Im turning 30 in feb, i have an 09 white premium wrx sedan. Wife was totally against it at first, rode in it, saw how very nice of a car it is and how its not like some uncomfortable "sports car" and now she says "its the best decision i ever made with a car".

I tinted my tail lights very very lightly, yellowed my fogs, painted my hood scoop flat black ( i love it, some hate it ) but performance wise its stock. Id like to get an intake exhaust, bigger tmic and a tune and call it a day.

I am in my 30's, and I will never be ashamed to drive sport compacts. No matter how big the wing is, or how loud it may be mechanically or aesthetically. They are just too darned fun.

Jeff

bought my first Subaru at 21. Now I'm turning 34 this month and I still own the same 2001 Subaru 2.5 RS CTI#5 and added a 2008 forester a few years ago. I have owned my car since some of these people have been in elementary school.

Bored with a WRX? Pssh never. If you're bored with a WRX you've either started taking life too seriously, or just ran out of money to buy more parts. Otherwise, its impossible. Just because you've gotten a little older, it doesn't mean you have to fade away into the land of automotive mediocrity. I will always own a WRX whether that be now, or 30 years from now. That I can promise.

P.S. Being in your 30's doesn't mean you're old by the way. I like being in my 30's way more than when I was in my 20's. My career has matured, I make a lot more money, have an awesome family and I'm still in good shape. All positives if you ask me.

I am 38, bought an 02 Black Bugeye in 08, put 140,000 miles on it or so (stock). I was an idiot, and didn't change the timing belt, and toasted the engine. Decided to just sell it, instead of rebuilding, as it had hail damage anyway, and was getting up there.

Found another 02, in WRB owned by a 70 year old guy that bought it brand new on the lot in 02, stored it winters, had a small stable of cars at his airplane hanger, and generally babied it - I totally lucked out, it is in minty condition. He would not budge under blue book, but you can't find them like this too much anymore, and he was 70...

I teach college, and definitely get comments sometimes from students - mostly envy. Was really struggling with modding it, but ultimately decided to be responsible, and invest in my business instead of my car - still would love to mod someday, sleeper style. Plan on driving a WRX for the foreseeable future.
