Default Internal paint job WAS good

I went out to autozone and picked up some paint. I spent about a week doing the paint job off and on using what i believe to be the appropriate paints, but now the job is chipping. when doing the job i covered all the parts i didn't want to have ruined and took some out, but the dash was a huge problem and i have no desire to do the whole thing in the car again.
A. what kind of paint should i be using for which parts and
B. how can i take out the entire dash so as to have better access to it for the job

here are some pics of the job so far, still incomplete

Not my thing imo
I've painted mine, BUT I took out the pieces and prepped them well, you got a problem cause unless I'm not seeing it you didn't sand your dashboard (I'm on a cellphone so clarity isn't the greatest)
What you should do is take that paint off
Cover everything, take your stencail lay it and tape it.
Then sand the stencil and apply the appropriate coats. Keep the stencil on after each coat. And remember lightly sand between coats so the paint has something bind with. I also found the krylon seems to work the best for plastics interior plastics, and has been holding up well on my grill exterior as well!

Let me know about anything else you did procedurely

Okay I am not gonna flame. So what you probably didnt do was clean the surfaces 100 percent, then you probably didnt use a abrasive to give the paint something to hold onto. Just something to scuff the surface ever so slightly. Also there is an adhesive promoter that should have been applied to the surfaces right before you painted them. All of these things can be found in your autozone auto paint section.

And no, I dont have the interior of my car painted.

good advice. I thought i saw everything but im going to have to email some of these pictures out monday.

I dont know what you had as an visioin but i hope that was not it. Man that is nasty

if you did not start with a clean surface then you need to start over. use a 50/50 alcohol water mix to clean then prime, paint, sand/scuff, paint. This process should give good results.

Also vinly interior, or anything with some flex, is never a good thing to paint. the fabric or material will flex, bend and bow and return to its natural location. the painted layer will not do this. Instead of the paint flexing it will just crack.

ive painted the interior of a few cars including 3 of my own i've found 220 grit sandpapaer for me works the best.. wash the area first with dawn dishsoap diluted in water so it gets rids of any armor all or grease from other "shine" makers lightly sand, clean again tape off and stencil your design if you cant actually remove your dash (its just easier to remove to prevent overspray and dont have to worry about messing up with your restricted angles and at the end if your using that autozone interior paint i tried and ended up with good results by giving it 1 slight coat of the clear engine enamel to prevent it from cracking in exposed sun

Looks good man. You need to prep your interior pieces before you paint them using sandpaper, google it.

Also...

Ensanguined Semblance makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.... Unless the next step is to cover your subie in blood?

Mr. Smoke is crying right now. Not in a good way.

You painted your interior wrong. My entire interior is painted and it's going strong after 2 years.

I hear you can help the paint cure by lighting the car on fire.

I'd probably re-do it but with more complementary colors vs mixing primary colors.

The combo just makes my retinas vibrate a bit when trying to see one color separate from another.

I used to be in the sporttruck scene, painting dashes was very common, usually we would glass them, but when we didnt do it it was all about the prep work, in face the first truck i ever did back in 98 still looks like new....... wish i had pics of it, but we painted the dash and it ended up looking like the outside finnish.

this just looks very elementry like someone had an idea (be it goo or bad who cares) and did not know the first thing about how to carry out the idea.

i cant even imagine the work trying to correct it..........

Painting interiors that would hurt your rods and cones is something southern people like to do.
