that hp level is good for 10.70's at about 130-132.From experience you will probably snap the left rear axle fairly easy and you might want to richen it up a little fro the track because of the air ramming thru the headlight duct.Reason is more clean cool air means higher oxygen content which requires a little more fuel. good luck and be safe

I am just giving you a realistic # from experience, remember with no headwork you will be shifting at or before 7500 and WILL have to make the shift into 5th.

Im giving realistic numbers myself, because we have STI's that dont even have 500hp and they are running 10's. Im saying based on MY experience that he can run 10.5 or less any day with that kind of hp. Just depends on your driving skills and the rubber, period.
If you dont believe me, check on youtube "bonsai sti" and it made 10.93 at 129mph and its running a FP Red with a Spearco tmic and nitto drag's. I dont know whats YOUR experience on cars but it doesnt look productive. |

you don't have to tell me about 10's,I put the 1st USDM STI in the 10's back in 05 and my personal 04 sti was the first to go in the 10's on straight 93 pump gas back in oct.2008.Obviously being a newb you don't have the experience I do so I will leave it at that.Oh and btw the cars I talk about have nothing removed for weight reduction and run only bfg dr's.sorry to take this off topic.

Just my opinion but a 129mph trap and a 10.93 e.t. isn't that impressive...seems to me the car could have went quicker.

Not a newb my friend, I just decided to join Nasioc recently, but Im from PR and we make are cars run fast for a living and for fun. But its nice that you think that because you have so many post here it makes you a big shoot. No it doesnt. We have been running 10's since 05. Soon I'll make my own thread on 9 sec 06 WRX Wagon. And you can hate all you want in it.
Sorry about that Phil. But now the thread must go on! |

Thats right, Roly is like my brother and he is one of the bests drivers here. Soon he will be driving my Wagon because he has a lot more of experience over me in the strip. Hopefully I'll see good numbers with him.

lol settle down fellas its all in fun. we will see soon enough what it does at this power level. i do believe 132-136 mph traps are possible on a good clean pass but there are so many variables in place we will just have to see.

Guys, it is understood. We dont want to keep on beating the dead horse, each person gave their opinion based on their experience. Thats it. And now I know that this guy is all up for helping people and Im all up for that, because even when things go south I always try to keep a positive mind set of things, its the only way you can survive throughout build's like these without completely losing your mind lol!
Thanks again JD |
