Default Android HU with a 16' Harman Kardon System

I tried searching this and wanted an up to date answer.

Looking to get a HU replacement. The HK system is better than stock but still seems like its extremely outdated vs what is available.

I would like to retain the stock options of course.

Seems like the HK makes things alot more complicated

Is there anything out there?? I know that the SEICANE seems popular but they say it wont fit...

I could live with a WIRELESS android Auto also. Think Kenwood has one of those, Alot more pricy.

You can add any aftermarket stereo to the 16-18 H/K radios and retain your factory amp and speakers using an iDatalink MAESTRO Rr along with the SU02 harness.

Pretty sure that changed with 2017. Also there's the fact that 17+ and Starlink Connected Services throw a whole different issue into the mix if you want to keep it.

The RR works with 17-18 WRX and the 17 STI. Not fully compatible with the 18 STI, but the amp integration works fine (I have an 18). Starlink works fine too.

i can also say i have an 18 sti, and i have an RR in it... and working correctly (minus the tpms display on radio) everything factory was retained, and it is using a t harness. (non-hk factory system though)

Starlink connected services work fine as well, i have the app control from the phone, and i can call out using the buttons fine.
