talk about adding insult to injury. Finally received a second intercooler after repeated threats to SSA and it's damaged as well. I think fedex is having box throwing competitions with all my packages.

i ordered mine last 2 sat ago and got it last tue i think , it wasnt even 4 days after i placed the order by the time i was actually holding it , i installed it this weekend and the fit was really good , it wasnt any harder than putting the stock tmic , all u have to do is just put a little bit of w2-40 in the elbow and in the coupler and remove the metal vacum lines that run across along with the right side bracket, it`ll go pretty easy if u do this , i took me less than 5 minutes ,after u put it in place put the right bracket and the vacum metal lines and tighten the clamps

I just got mine today and I'm amazed at how well it was packed up and all of the little bits it ships with. I didn't see any damage, but when I shake it, I can hear some shavings or something rattling inside. I'm going to take a shop-vac to each of its holes to see if I can find what's in there.

All in all, very impressed for the price!

Does anyone have any install instructions? I've done my own IC hoses, but it was about 2 years ago. I'm a new dad now, so my time to keep up to date on this stuff has been hurt the last 2 years. There are a lot of little T-fittings and stuff included.. should I just print out some TurboXS install instructions or something? What did you guys use as a guide..?

Did you guys need to remove the air splitter on the hood because this tmic seems to sit alot higher (closer to the hood) than the stock tmic.

Cusco makes multiple bars.

Mines an old style bar that the previous owner put on.

I test fitted it and I don't think there's anyway in hell that its getting on there - and if there is, I think it will have to be pushing the IC down and that will probably cause some rubbing.

SSautochrome is no longer on ebay.

The AutoDynasty intercooler is still on ebay.

I sent links yesterday for the autodynasty. Just type in wrx huge top mount Intercooler, if it doesnt work the first time mix it up. I dont have time to send the links everyday.
Good luck

I have an AutoDynasty unit on my Saabaru.

It's the dentical unit to the SSAC, only no hoses, etc, were included.

It arrived with a small ding in it from shipping, but it still functions perfectly.

I use Perrin hoses and the setup fits marvelously.

No AC line issues at all.

Hope this helps!

If you would read the treads, its been said by me at least twice here. Auto Dynasty and SS autochrome are exactly the same. Except $145 you do not get the "Y" pipe or the sorry ass BOV.
I have had mine (auto dynasty) for quite a while and am happy with the savings.
Read my post, look up my write up, search for Ebay $145 Huge TMIC its all in there. I was the first to take the chance on it and was glad I did.
