cool... I think this is right over by my grandma's house I'm hoping to stop by sometime soon. I'm looking for a 3" inlet muffler with a silencer cap or removable baffle. Any way you can get one of those for a decent price? I'd like to use it for a 3" catback, but the only ones I've been able to find are pretty $$$$
Thanks and goodluck,
Grant

mike, you can't really re-weld the flanges. especially on the kind of pipe you have. the only way to do it right would be to remove the studs and have is machined flat. but that would take a couple of days because i would have to send it somewhere.

ok sounds good.. i think the catless stock uppipe is a good fix till i get something else or just leave that one.. i just want/need something that is sealed for the track.. then we can get everything sorted out when my new turbo gets here...

i have an appt in columbia, mo subaru dealer to get my sub replaced 8am wednesday... but i can cancel that ... what is a good time to stop by? also, all the little stuff is already removed for an uppipe swap (heat shields, big plastic thing, etc..)

Thumbs up

Good luck with your new shop! Do you want people to recommend you around, or will you have too much on your hands anyway? The auto-x crowd is always interested in shops that can do work on their cars. If you have stickers, I can put one on my car (permanently if it's small and nice looking, otherwise it would go on a magnet and I'll put it on for events only).

And I'm sure that someday I'll have work for you myself. I mean work that I'm paying for, even though having you do it at install days isn't so bad. Do you have an alignment rack? Can you corner weight a car? A new suspension will be my next larger project.

we should have a set of scales and a set of digital camber, caster, and toes gauges in about a month or so. several of my friends also autocross and some of us roadrace, so i have decided to buy them. until then, i can make some recommendations based on suspension mods and you can have another shop do the alignment.

Thanks Ron, it's still going to be a while until I get my new suspension, by that time you should be all set. I'm just planning ahead, and want to be sure that I'll have a place that has scales for corner weighting, and knows how to align a Subaru. I'm not spending another afternoon in a shop that can't figure out how to turn a camber bolt!
