I was changing my radiator for a bigger Mishimoto unit and one of my buddies asked how much horsepower I gain from it.

Now I bet he's on a civic forum posting something along the lines of-

I stopped off at the store today. This older guy like in his 60's was eyeballing my car. I'm like "O, great what does this ass want?" He says, "Is that a '13?"

I was like whoa, this old timer knows Subies?

Then he says, "Yea I see them all the time in the city driving like as*holes."
I said, "Man, you can find as*holes in any type of car."

But maybe we really do drive like As*holes? Got me thinking.

At 53 years old I may be one of those A**holes.

On my daily daily drive I need to be in the right hand lane to enter an expressway; if I'm in the center lane as we approach it, there's usually (depending on the car) not much that the guy in the right lane can do to stop me from getting in front of him. Don't even have to speed much, just make sure I'm in the right gear and give it a little more gas.

Oddly enough I don't try to do it to Mustangs, Challengers, or other performance oriented cars because I don't want to be that old jerk trying to show off, just to the average guy I don't want to be behind in the entrance ramp.

I guess admitting you may be an a**hole is the first step in recovery.

He's a dick because he shrugged off the fact that you had a Subaru? Not something to really be concerned about. Not really dick-like behavior, just not interested.

Not funny, but it's always nice to hear someone with a Lexus or similar say "nice WRX"

I drove to Home Depot last night to get zip ties. So I was sitting (literally) in the parking lot securing my fog light wires in the bumper with the zip ties, when some guy pulls up next to me:

"You know, that's the dumbest way I've seen someone try to steal a car before".

Laughs were shared then he drove off.

...so random.

Went up to the new intern(19yo) at work the other day and was like, "dude I just bought a subaru STi yesterday!" He replies, "oh... ok." I asked him if he knew what it was... he clearly didnt have a clue.

Nothing personal, really. Just sorta dissapointed... thought he was cooler than that lol
