Really? I might have to get another flat gasket to try when I install my Cobb DP then...

Well I installed the exhaust and it cut me up good. But I feel proud that I did it ^_^!
Sounds awesome. |

I'm on my 3rd exhaust in as many weeks. Been using the ultra high temp gasket in a tube. Extends the install a bit, but saves money on having to continually buy gaskets.
On another note: what, other than noise, do you hope to gain from stiffer motor mounts? |

The design of the Cusco is basically just a bolt through a bushing. Even if it does get soft for some reason, it's not going to completely let go. It seems like a more robust design. I do agree that the Perrin is probably lighter/sleeker, and it's nice how they include the upper and lower mounting brackets. Quote:

The mounts should stop my engine from flopping all over the place like this: I'm guessing it will help transfer more power to the ground, and take some strain off everything else that get pulled out of position when the motor/tranny moves that much. I'm sure the stock mounts would have totally failed eventually anyways. |

Greasy hands and a sharp exhaust tip lmao. Just some small scrapes taken cared of with some Peroxide. I LOVE the sound. It suprised me. This has to be the best cheap exhaust out there. |

And it's only "cheap" because RSD is blowing out prices for some reason. It's been sold for $800 for the past 3-4 years since it came out. |

Greddy themselves were selling it for $450 a while back, around March I think. I thought they were doing a model closeout on it

Oh, well maybe they're discontinued or something. Either way, it's a great deal!

Very true. Especially with the silencer, which is perfect for keeping parents/wife/girlfriend/etc from complaining about it. Especially for those of us who aren't fortunate enough to have two cars

Yes, the silencer is terrible for power, but it's really great for quieting things down. I put mine in for a 3hr drive with my wife and baby and it really makes it a lot easier to handle. It's darn close to stock sound levels.

The exhast sometimes rattles. Looks like it's the gasket at the cat. I tightened it as much as I can though... later this week... or tomorrow I have to disconnect it and re-tighten it.
The bolt on the driver's side is a pain in the ass. I think I used the wrong gasket too lol. I used the bigger one on the Cat. ( Looks like it's shaking around ). |

Can you get to the diff from the side? With my Q300 (learned from Ben) i can access it from behind the the wheel on the side.

CRAP! Thanks for the info lmao. I'll switch the gaskets tomoro after I run a quick errand. Looks like the entire exhaust has to get adjusted. Shouls take 15 minutes to fix.
Thanks man, real life saver! |

Air ratchet would probably work since all the hardware is new and not seized at this point. They take a lot of air to constantly work at full power so you need a decent size compressor. A 3/8 impact gun works perfect for that kind of stuff too. Not everyone obviously has this stuff but it makes a world of a difference if you do.
