My estimated annual gas cost increase in the RS to R32 move....
Assuming about 10,000 miles a year...
RS: 416 gallons/year @ 24mpg $1248.00 annual cost @ $3.00/gallon (regular) R32: 500 gallons/year @ 20mpg $1600.00 annual cost @ $3.20/gallon (premium) Not so bad.

What about the gas mileage on the rental, you know, for when the R32 is in the shop?

Umm...you seemed to have forgotten that you'll be driving the new car more, what with all the required dealership service visits that you'll have to do now. So factor in more miles driven.
Also, once that warranty runs out...well, we won't even get into the costs associated with that. PS. AOD can't hold a candle to my VW bashing. I'm the OG VW hater in OT...don't any of you forget that. Last edited by JGard; 10-04-2005 at 01:57 PM. |

I'm really not picking out the R32 exclusively. I just hate all VWs in general. And as a general rule, they are horribly unreliable. |

I seriously doubt you'd get 25mpg in 80% stop and go traffic. |
