Default My estimated annual gas cost increase in the RS to R32 move....

Assuming about 10,000 miles a year...

RS:
416 gallons/year @ 24mpg
$1248.00 annual cost @ $3.00/gallon (regular)

R32:
500 gallons/year @ 20mpg
$1600.00 annual cost @ $3.20/gallon (premium)

Not so bad.

What about the gas mileage on the rental, you know, for when the R32 is in the shop?

AOD has always been quick to jump at the chance to bash VWs.

Umm...you seemed to have forgotten that you'll be driving the new car more, what with all the required dealership service visits that you'll have to do now. So factor in more miles driven.

Also, once that warranty runs out...well, we won't even get into the costs associated with that.

PS. AOD can't hold a candle to my VW bashing. I'm the OG VW hater in OT...don't any of you forget that.

It will be interesting to find out as time passes whether you and aod and rogue will have to offer the occasional begrudging concession or will be proven entirely correct on the .:R.

HA! I get 25+mpg with my STi and it's dyno tuned 300+awhp map!

STi > R32

I'm really not picking out the R32 exclusively. I just hate all VWs in general. And as a general rule, they are horribly unreliable.

Uh...

I seriously doubt you'd get 25mpg in 80% stop and go traffic.
