Just to clear up one of the stories...

Update on the Drag Racing incident...it never happened, just a rumor. Someone at Deal's Gap overheard an officer and a Subaru driver having a discussion that involved a comment about drag racing and spread the rumor around...trust me on this one, no one was stopped, nor arrested for Drag Racing.

I recall two guys saying they were flagged down by a cop. One STi and one WRX. They said they were both in 2nd gear ripping through the turns, 5mph under the speed limit. The cop said he heard them coming and flagged them down because is sounded as if there were racing/speeding.

Darn good points.... Perhaps we don't even need to wait untill "Next year" for this... I think it might also be fun to have times to compare against...

Correction to that - it was my Bro's(Ozzman) 2 friends (both brothers of each other),
One was in a Sedonna Red 2002 WRX and the other was in an S2000. The rest is correct - the WRX was at 6000 RPM's in second and the S2000 was at 8000 RPM's in second, they were both slowing down. They were not racing and they did not get a ticket.

Just high revs that sound like they are racing.

On Saturday as I was LEAVING the area to head home I was at the scene of the accident of the STi/WRX. Not a pretty sight.. but everyone was physically ok.

The WRX driver drifted accidently over the double yellow, missing the first WRX (on coming traffic).. tried to catch the drift, but ended up T-boning the STi of (on coming traffic).. that's not a cool thing when subarus hit each other.

I saw that same WRX driver "Accidently" drift over the yellow line about 10 times on a run through the dragon the night before

I let him know what I thought about it as well....

I am certain that after getting the bill for an STI, as well as his own WRX, his insurance company will make certain he is in a Yugo for about 5 years.
