Default Bluetooth Kits for older Subaru (2005)

Don't laugh, But I haven't had any luck finding a plug in Bluetooth adapter for the factory radio in my '05 Forester XT: https://www.cd4car.com/subaru-forest...p130-04-05-06/

(it's an old gem I know, but she's low miles and manual).

I found an adapter for my '07 Tacoma pretty easily: https://www.crutchfield.com/S-OZRC7C...MaAs1EEALw_wcB

and they make them for '06 Subarus and up, but I can't find jack for the '05.

I do have an aftermarket head unit (Kenwood DDX512), but it didn't come with Bluetooth (I bought it in 2008). I'd prefer to use my factory radio because it has the plug for the factory sub woofer and my aftermarket does not.

Has anyone successfully integrated bluetooth into their 04-05 oem radios? Specifically oem model: 86201SA110 P130? Can I swap in a newer oem head unit and plug the bluetooth into it?

If your unit looks like this on the back....sorry for the monster images that units older n not very many pics.

you have a headphone jack for sure and maybe AUX RCA inputs. If you do Id ge one of these for $50-60shipped via eBay n Amazon

Hifonics TPS-BT1

Its about the size of your HVAC knob and is easy to install. I just put one in my crapy 2009 Ford Focus. comes with RCA out and direct wire from what I remember along with a headphone jack under the knob

Yeah thatís pretty damn close. Itís the Kenwood DDX512. It just sucks that I canít run the factory sub on it without wiring up a separate amp.

Iíd look for a head unit out of a 2007-8 forester to keep your sub and have the Aux port wiring, assuming that you can also hook bluetooth up to it. Alternatively, get an under the seat sub for a factory alternative to the rear hatch (that probably does close to the same thing) and upgrade your HU. This is the route I did, CarPlay and BT are definitely worth it
