Not saying all dealers do this. But SOA'S policy is ANY DEALER CAN REFUSE ANY CUSTOMER AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON OR NO REASON.

I already have it

I'm interested in what you find out about the pcv flyboy. I think I'll try and order on with my 15% Mastro discount. Its awesome being able to get oem stuff for cheaper than ebay. I'm picking up a few accessories when I go in for the first service.

I will probably stop by tomorrow and see if they even stock it, and when I get home, I will pull the hose and see how it looks in the hose

I have never heard of anyone getting banned from a dealership other than you. I find it very hard to believe that you were goodie two shoes to them and it resulted in that. I would think you have to piss them off very badly for that to happen.

That aside, any reasonable person would not have any problem with having a major repair fixed if there is a problem. You be reasonable to them and most likely you'll get the same in return.

There is NO REASONING WITH THE ASSWIPES AT BILL BRYAN.
SOA said that my low scores for bill bryan on the cs survey were the reason.
They have pissed off and pissed on everyone I've ever known who ever bought any brand of car from them.
And it was at Desire's uging (SOA) that I kept going there because their policy is "to resolve the problems at the dealer nearest you and where you bought the car."

And I was then informed that "any dealer can refuse anyone service at any time etc".
Funny- the old lady with the bugeye getting her belts changed didnt seem to think I was unruly and or unreasonable. No ill words were spoken. No one ever called me or informed me about the cheap, sleazy dismissal by the lowlifes at the dealer. They called my sick mother who co-signed to save me a bit on APR.
This time around I didnt bother her. And I know the folks at the awesome dealer I bought my current car from wouldn't pull any of the BS that Bill Bryan did.

Look I don't want this to be an argument, my point is that you shouldn't be discouraging people from getting their engines repaired if they have consumption issues. You are better off having them replace the short block if there is indeed an issue. That is the correct repair for the problem. Cool?

Just got home from my trip, the 20oz I added this morning was too much, it is hard to judge a level surface when you are away from a good one.

Anyway, I added too much, maybe 4oz too much, not sure, but it is about 3/8" over full. My normal full is 3/16" over. Oh well, should be good until my next change

So after my second oil change at 12000km my car is also beginning to consume oil. Nearly every day now there is a cloud of blue smoke on startup after parking the car overnight.

I've topped up 1 liter in 2000km. I'm going to start a dialogue with the dealer in monday.

I'm very disappointed, up until the last month I was very happy with the car.

Blue cloud or a blue stream on initial cold startup ?

Ours has a stream of blue smoke which starts on initial start after about 15 seconds then finishes after another 10 secs (looks worse in winter) but so far only uses about 2/5" oil between services.

it very definitely forms a cloud behind the car for ~ 30 seconds.

also, two fifths of an inch is a very strange measurement...

I haven't had the chance to read all the way through the thread, but my car is reaching ~6900 miles. I'm about to take it in for an oil change. Thing is, I've gotten the low oil light at random a couple of times over the past three weeks. It comes and goes, and it only ever came up on a long 2+ hour drive out for a bike ride.

The oil light would come on and go away, I checked oil levels, which are actually quite good. The car has never been abused or pushed, it was properly broken in as well. Is this something I should be worried about or should bring up to the dealership when I take it in for service?

Yes. Could be a bad oil level sensor, if you know that the oil level is actually good. Get it fixed under warranty.

Just make sure its level when you check the oil. a little incline can cause a big difference.

Got the phone call today saying my car was ready for pick up. They explained that their first attempt at repair was just replacing the short block. They were not able to get the engine running right so they pulled it and replaced it with a new crate engine off the assembly line. They also installed a new clutch and a new exhaust. So far its been running pretty smooth.

Call SOA and ask them for a buy-back quote. It's amazing how fast my car was repaired when I told the customer service rep that I wanted a new car.

That doesn't sound good, ours does run a few seconds of light blue/ grey on every overnight cold start but no cloud.

The measurment of 2/5 " is my rough mental conversion of 11 >12mm ie not quite 1/2".

The squeaky wheel gets the grease my friend. After to failed attempts at repairing my car the SOA cust service rep asked what he could do to make it right. I told him I no longer feel safe in the car. I also told him I bought the car for its reliability factor. I did not feel like the car was reliable to me anymore and was not confident it would last. The catalytic converter went bad from all the misfiring and they put a new clutch in to give it that smooth new car feeling. It's been running really smooth since I've picked it up. It took them 11 weeks but I think they finally made the situation right.

I am in contact with a senior rep at SOA about my situation. I did inquire about a buy-back, but was told that wasn't possible because my car is over a year old with over 15000 miles.

My biggest concern is getting my car back after all this time and still having major issues like a couple others on here have had. I just don't want to deal with any more headaches with this car.
