Default '05 STI | Front Strut Sprint Seat Alignment

I forgot to compare my old strut/spring with my new assembly I'm putting together so I've been following the FSM.

In it, it states that the three holes in the front strut seat spring should be aligned (pointed towards) "outside of body".

Does "outside of body" mean away from the centerline (long ways) of the car?

When I align the sprint seat like that, the three holes would be pointed towards the bracket that attaches the strut to the front knuckle. In this position, the sprint seat doesn't align with the spring cushion.

If I align the spring seat to point TOWARDS the body of the car (towards the center of the car long ways), the spring seat lines up well with the spring cushion. But this seems to be the opposite of what the FSM is telling me.

The struts I'm using are the the Feal fixed struts: https://fealsuspensionstore.com/feal...ubaru-wrx-sti/

Can anyone provide any input into which way is the correct way?

Default Solved!

Took some time but eventually figured this one out. The FSM is correct to align the holes in the upper spring seat with the outside of the body. To make this work, I had to use one spring compressor on the side of the spring facing the outside of the body. Once that compressed down, the sprint seat aligns well. Then, I add the other spring compressor and evenly compress both sides down.

At that point, I can take the top mount nut and, with an impact wrench, catch enough threads to hold everything in place.
