Angry Fed Ex and UPS suck!!!

First off UPS sucks because they break almost everything they ship and also ship to the wrong location.
Fed Ex sucks because if they can't get the package to the person when the fed ex delivery man is there they decide to ship it back and screw you out of your money?!!! I would really like to use some profanity now but that is a bit distasteful...
Really Pissed off right now, Micah

I always use the UPS, never had a problem with them. Just got some hockey gear, UPS got it here on time with no problem... I've had stuff overnighted using UPS and was amazed how fast they can get stuff cross country.

I had my DVD burner come in on Wed. to the Fed Ex station and they could not deliver it to me for three days due to "delay beyond their control" (ie weather)... honestly, W-T-F... kids went to school on Friday, freaking V-8 RWD cars were going up and down my road for the last 3 days along with many work vans just like the Fed Ex ones... but oooohhhh nooooo, their lazy @sses could not bring me my stuff... had to drive 30 mins to go get it this morning...SO, I do feel your pain!

heh, sounds like the USPS... they could'nt leave me a package cause they had "no place to leave it"... UPS had come on tuesday and dropped off a few packages. I'm guessing the stupid postal worked did'nt want to get out and walk up our cleared off driveway and leave the box on our cleared off front steps..

Screw UPS !! I was at a place of business about a month ago and there was a UPS driver making a delivery. This guy was probably 5' 5" at the most. So he has the back door open, and the truck is packed full to the roof. He steps into the truck, but needs to get to the top shelf in his Brown Box. He can't reach the top so he decides to use a box of someones freight as a step ladder!! Keep in mind he is doing this in front of his customer, me ,and another delivery guy. He continues to do this to get about 20 boxes from the top, meanwhile this box he used as a step ladder is about half of its original size in height, and crushed really bad. I say to the guy , your the reason I don't use ups, and he says why is that?? I say because you don't give a ***** about anyone but yourself! I said someone was really expecting that freight to be in good shape, and you blatantly stepped on that box! I understand that accidents happen , but not when a jack azz like that purposely damaged it!!!! Just my .02...... keep in mind I can't stand UPS . I work in the freight business, and they are a bunch of little whiny biatches!!!

Once, the UPS truck came at 8:30 while I was still asleep and got stuck on some ice on the top of my driveway. I woke up to the sound of a revving UPS truck. I think it took her 10 minutes to get un-stuck.

Edit: And my sister is downstairs yelling up to me "The UPS truck is stuck!" That's great, what am I supposed to do about it? Let me sleep, dammit.

I use USPS, UPS, and FedEx all on a regular basis - probably 5 packages per month. I hardly EVER have a problem.

I've had UPS break things then refuse to pay for what they broke, they claimed that it wasn't boxed safely enough despite it being in the orignal box from the PC maker, they leave stuff at my door that I've paid extra so a signature is required, I've shipped part of a turbo kit to Oregon only to have the dumbasses deliver it to my house instead and then tell me I had to pay shipping again if I wanted them to ship it to the correct address, I bought one of the UPS stores own boxes to ship something but when it was damaged at the other end it was measured again and somehow it lost 2in in length and an inch in height from being crushed enroute, then they tried to claim it wasn't the dimensions that were orignally measured, I've had a package sit at their Burtonsville shipping place for 3 days before it was finally delivered and that only happened because I called them about it after noticing where it was sitting for the last three days.

There is no good shipping company unless its air freight. Too bad DHL can't deliver like UPS can.

I had Fedex try to deliver a package of mine to my neighbor. His apartment number is 301, ok I'm right beside him and on the package in BIG NUMBER it says to be delivered to 302. Luckily I was outside when this occured and told the dude that was the package I was expecting. I was like "How does a 2 look like 1?" He didn't really have an answer.

I had to pick up a package from fedex ground delivery yesterday because they said it was undeliverable. after arguing that they just didn't look hard enough I went down to their warehouse to pick it up. Stood in this empty room with an ashtray and a telephone on a desk. I stood there for 10 minutes and I could hear a bunch of people laughing in a conference room adjacent to the room I was standing in. I opened the door smoke came pooring out of the door like the room was on fire. There were 15-20 people in their all smoking. I asked if someone could help me, the guy at the front said "uh-sure just a moment, please close the door". I stood there for another 5 minutes and opened the door, and asked who the manager was and he stands up in the corner and steps forward to help me. I gave him my tracking number and he goes back into the room and closes the door. I'm so pissed at this point I pick up the phone and call the 1800 number and call fed ex. I have their customer service on the phone and they call the station manager to try to resolve the matter. He comes out and looks at me and goes into his office and the Customer Service person tells me that they've spoke to the station manger and he'll be out to help me. So now he comes out of his office, still smoking, and says "whats the tracking number" I tell him I just gave it to you. He looks at me and says "no ya didn't". I was ready to hit him, I called the 1 800 number from my phone since he was now sitting on the desk between me and their phone. Got the tracking number gave it to him, and he gets one of his mooks to come out of the "meeting". To go get it. He comes out from the back and says he cant find it and asks for my shipping address. Turns out this guy (pretty cool) lives 2 streets up from me, tells me my route driver usually just goes home and naps on his route. Needless to say I finally got my package, and went home and have filed my complaints. Now everything gets shipped DHL or UPS.

UPS tends to suck down here in Miami. At least, they can never deliver a package properly to my gated apartment complex. FedEx comes into the complex, either delivers the package to your door or leaves a doortag with the info on it. UPS drives up, stares at the fence and sees that nobody is standing there waiting for a package. They leave a slip of paper stuck to the fence, and then drive off. I've had 3 packages where I've seen the UPS driver leaving when I'm sitting in my apartment 10 feet away. Plus, if I need to go pick up my package, FedEx actually knows where it is.
UPS, for each package, has told me "well... it might be on the truck again to go out to you... it might not. we're not really sure. you might get it sometime today" "okay, so what time should I expect the package?" "today" "alright, I'll be sure to wait around the whole day for the 20 second window of standing AT my fence for the driver to stick the 2" slip of paper on the fence... forget that, take it off the truck so I can come get it!"

I try to avoid using UPS around here, because I've paid for 3-day delivery and not received or been able to pick up my package for 7 days. That's ridiculous.

I think it's definitely a regional thing... one might be a lot better than the other in your are. Or both can suck too.
